Ok, draft is over, rookie camp coming up. I'm finishing up a few old game reviews and I'm already bored. So that means trivia time. We all have google, so let's try to use honor system here to see how good your memories are.
Here is the question:
Since 1984, the Giants have had 8 running backs gain 1000 yards in a season for them (Joe Morris, OJ Anderson, Rodney Hampton, Gary Brown, Tiki Barber, Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward, and Ahmad Bradshaw).
In that same amount of time, since 1984, the Giants have had 9 running backs on their roster who rushed for over 1000 yards in another season on a different pro team. And...go.
Reuben Droughns
Dorsey Levens
Peyton Hillis
Gary Brown
Herschel Walker
Erric Pegram
And I guess 9 has to be
Ryan Grant
Yeah he had one with Atlanta and had another good year with Pittsburgh before he came here.
Bonus question. There was another 1000 yard season for a Giants running back on the roster. It was in a pro league. But not the NFL.

I had him on my FF team in '93 and '95 :)
I think he did so with the Generals...
Didn't Rob Carpenter rush for 1000 with the Oilers?
Let me try to find a little tougher one. Since 1984, the Giants have had 7 guys on their roster who came from the Ivy League. Name them.
Correct
Jim Finn- UPenn
Keith Elias- Princeton
Zak DeOssie- Brown
4 more.
Kenny Hill
Jason Garrett
Keith Elias
...
Correct, Kenny Hill came over from the Raiders via Yale.
Kenny Hill
Jason Garrett
Keith Elias
...
Yup. Boothe came from Cornell. Jason Garrett from Princeton. And DeOssie was already named. 1 more.
Getting warmer.
Even closer. He started a bit of controversy at the rookie camp.
Bingo. Back in the rookie camp, Hatch asked for an injury waiver and insurance before he did any drills to protect himself. This was not a normal request and the Giants balked at it as he refused to take the field and they eventually came to an agreement. Figures it was an Ivy guy to know all about the business ends and liabilities.
A hint, he joined the team mid season.
crap that's a tough one...
Hollywood Henderson.
Who was the fourth? A slight hint, he was the unfortunate soul who got smashed by William Perry on his TD run in Super Bowl XX (and later Ditka regretted because it took a TD chance away from Walter Payton).
Do you guys realize that Phil Simms three for 300 yards in a game in 1993 and the team didn't have a QB throw for another 300 yards in a single game until Kerry Collins against the Jets in 1999? That's an incredibly pathetic record of quarterbacking (David Brown, Danny Kannell, Kent Graham).
idk
