I've heard multiple comedian friends of Norm swear he doesn't drink or do drugs but everyone just assumes he does because of his normal demeanor and speech.
but I thought the comedic portion of it was a cut above average.
but as stated, it's a matter of taste. I've watched countless routines that many people raved about, but I was left wishing I had spent my time watching grass grow.
Could have done without the lump in the throat bit. Dave's retiring, not dying.
definitely polarizing, but I thought his Weekend Update was the best, bar none. And Dirty Work was much funnier than a number of movies that got more attention.
Was on a short lived tbs show called dorm daze as the pothead 8yr college guy. After that he has accomplished zero, unless you count being on terrible shows like Whitney or being Justin Biebers favorite comedian. Norm destroys him
He's never not seemed that way to me.

Actually thought he was more sober here than normal.
Funny set
He often comes off that way, but he's not a user. I think that when he is a little nervous, he does this smile/laugh thing.

I couldn't understand half of what he was saying.
Shit was pathetic. Pandering to the crowd. WTF?
You want to piss in your pants from laughter? Watch Chris Delia's White Male-Black Comic. Now that is funny.

I don't know what to tell you because that is as fine of a stand-up performance as you're ever going to see.
So because Letterman bug ups his own act, he is to be believed??
If YOU say so....
This wasn't very funny, it was just a touching tribute from Norm to a guy who helped him find his path in life.

A standup comic using applause signs?
Yeah, this make sense.
