he's walked 3, but don't let him lay a bp fastball in there for strike one. Shame he was right on it, just right at Cain. Oh well at least he got the run in.
he showed you that vet savy tonight pitching these Royals the way you need to. Jamming them all night and getting them to chase out of the zone with their aggressiveness.
will be 19 all season, hit .289 last year. He's another kid with a very advanced approach, patient, does everything well. He hasn't shown, or even flashed, much power, which is why he's not a premium prospect right now, but at his age he's certainly not done growing.
8 game hitting streak, hit his first 2 HRs of the season yesterday. Now up to .304/.361/.790 for the season and hitting .370/.443/.574 in 13 games in May.
Miguel Sulbaran made his AAA debut with 5 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 3 SO. Not sure what his ceiling is since he's not a big SO guy, but he's only 21 and has put up good numbers at each level. Overall, for his minor league career he has a 3.23 ERA, 1.187 WHIP with 2.5 BB/9 and 7.6 K/9.
The aforementioned Palma went 1-3 with a BB in his debut.
but Girardi thinks he's about to turn the corner.........
