Cuddyer has been a little overaggressive so far at the plate today. I like that he's looking to get a hit but he if he waits for a pitch here, he'll get something good.
have been as good or better than the other recent debuts? JdG might have been slightly more impressive given the situation, but he also benefited from being far more under the radar. Thor's control looks better than Wheeler's did early. Harvey had a different energy from day 1 and knowing what he is makes it hard to compare.
I hope he is OK. It just got away from him. But, for Syndergaard working out of it giving up just a run on not too bad of a pitch to Braun should pay dividends for Thor

Only correction he needs to make going forward is continuing to attack the inside part of the plate. Keith said it during the AB with Braun that he was away with everything, and I just saw some post-game comments from Thor that he was initially rattled and hesitant to go back inside. I actually think it's great he freely admitted that, realized it, and can hopefully learn from it in the future.
Learning from experiences like today is the exact thing that his development needs that he just can't get in AAA. Working through the psychological stuff that happens when it's Carlos Gomez and Ryan Braun that are up at bat.
made that the Thor era has begun. His next start is next Friday against the Pirates, Gee is rehabbing so there is no need to do anything for a few days. Encouraging that Wright will begin baseball activities on Monday
in the class of Neil Allen and Rick Ownby for Keith Hernandez, or Hubie Brooks and some decent prospects for Gary Carter. They need to consolidate their talent, flip some surplus good-to-very-good prospects into a couple of elite players while keeping their own top prospects. Hard to pull off nowadays but not impossible.
It'd be even better if they turned up an elite position player or three from their farm system.

I don't disagree with your point, but trouble is what are you comfortable giving up?
If you want a great hitter in this era, (and if anyone has noticed, we're absolutely in a pitching-dominatined era) you have to give up a great pitcher. You're just not getting good hitters for free anymore. And if you want a power hitter? Good luck. Feels like taking roids and other meds out of the game has had a far-reaching effect.
were are 1 great hitter from being a really good team

if he pitches like he has the first 2 times out tell gee to get his bp game in gear
It is freaky that they all seem to be working out. Next up Matz. They could plug a Tovar or Gullorme at SS and put Flores at 2nd and I'd take my chances winning 2-1 or 3-2.
and with constant minor injuries and his high contract, I don't see anyone else willing to take him.
Serious question. How come us fans never view our own players as worth anything, but comparable players on other teams we debate how big of a package to offer. Then say the other team would laugh at our offers as being too little?
"He is one of the hardest throwers we've seen this year" considering that Chapman, Wacka, Coles in the Central Division alone, that is saying something

Fair point and good question.
Another thing...take Tulo out of Colorado and DW is the better offensive player. And it's probably not close. Can't wait for the captain to come back.
I haven't personally heard anything, but was wondering about who they plan to bring in. It won't be a no name, and it won't be a big money signing - so I am lost as to even make a guess at who it could be. Has anyone heard anything?
scouts becomes GM's if they're good an their careers ascend, and let's face it, baseball manager is not exactly rocket science. there have been some pretty poor managers with managerial experience, I find this approach outside the box and refreshing instead of hiring retread after retread (yes you art howe and terry collins).
honestly I can't say I'd prefer Terry Collins over their manager - and I know zero about him.
EXTREMELY dangerous without a strong leader, especially if he doesn't grab them by the throat and get the respect. Media will have a field day with this regardless of how Loria and Samson try to spin this. The worst thing Marlins need to deal with is their league low payroll and how they cheated out on a manager. This doesn't work and they face the horrible choice of blowing it all up. Again. Goodbye TV contract, hello new owner...

@Noahsyndergaard Put that behind you brother, continue to work hard. Good luck and God bless!!
No. Lagares is untouchable
Now the bats need to wake up.
Harvey, DeGrom, Syndergaard, Wheeler/Matz, Niese netx season. Gee is the long man.
IF he stays healthy, Niese gets traded mid season 2016 for Matz' Super TWO arrival
RT @MarlinManiac: Breaking: Mike Redmond out as #Marlins manager

At this point, I guess I'll believe it when I see it because apparently it did not happen last Monday or the one before.
Excellent outing for Thor today and a solid W overall. Hopefully we're getting back on track a bit here.

It's time to realize that David Wright is the second coming of Big Pussy.

All position players are expendable except Lagares. Im open to trading DW

In other words, just another day as a Mets fan. We don't want to even disucss trading anything but lesser talent and get blindsided by losses.
Now that DW's wheels are falling off lol.

You serious or joking? Sad, with the Marlins you never can tell...
Wow!!! Hiring a scout as your manager?? Even for the Marlins, that's a new low...
