“I want to fix it,” Rivers told USA TODAY Sports. “I want to win. That’s why I came here. I knew when I came here that roster-wise it was going to be very difficult. The first thing I did before I took this job, I looked at the roster and we laughed. I was like, ‘What the (expletive) can we do with this?’ It was more the contracts. But we have to try to do it somehow. I don’t know how yet, but something will work out.” |
The team he inherited had Paul, Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Jamal Crawford and was coming off a 56 win season.
Just imagine what he would have said if he inherited the knicks....
He will be a free agent, maybe he goes to an eastern team for an easier road...
I actually could see a couple of big names going from West to East...

Sources: DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul have had falling out throughout season, a fact that could push Jordan to another team in free agency.

Plus Jordan is still very young..
Okafor and Jordan makes up a very very young front court with a ton of potential...
BUT the problem is going to be spacing unless Okafor could develop a mid range like Griffin did...
