I mean he says its about contracts but not sure what he is referring to, outside of Paul/Griffin they dont really have long term contracts. I guess the Redick deal isnt great, but its not horrible.

and they're losing their first rounder because they brought him in. That's not going to help a team with bench issues. This year was their best shot and they blew it. They probably lose Jordan too, I'm not sure if they want to match a max contract for him. I think they'll be at the cap if they do so they can't add anything else unless they get creative.

and in todays NBA he deserves it. He never misses games, shot 70+ from the field, and led the league in rebounding and was 4th in blocked shots. He isnt a guy that you can put on a bad team and expect to carry you, but considering the average players that get near max money he deserves it. If im LAC i max him out and take my chances with him, paul and griffin.

As mentioned, he inherited a 56 win team with a talent laden roster. He was brought in to try to win right away, so the salary cap and future contracts mean very little.

have to max him out. You cant lose him for nothing. Plus with the salary cap bump next year it really wont even be a bad contract for him.

if they do not win a title and the Clips building around Griffin and Jordan...

He will be a free agent, maybe he goes to an eastern team for an easier road...

I actually could see a couple of big names going from West to East...

Plus Jordan is still very young..

Okafor and Jordan makes up a very very young front court with a ton of potential...

BUT the problem is going to be spacing unless Okafor could develop a mid range like Griffin did...

depth .... People can say what they what about Ainge but once he is done he has a versatile and complete roster...
