Dogs and cats living together; Heinz mustard and French's ketchup.
I wonder if there was some kind of a "corporate agreement" to not tread into each other's "Condiment Universe" (as others have noted, I've seen Heinz Mustard in a limited way, but not French's Ketchup).
I think we just found the guy who looks like Mr. Drummond in the back of the Bentley.
Hey dawg, I buy a jar of mustard every 6 months maybe. OK 2 jars cuz I gotta have both those 2 types. Why not spring for the best? And if for anyone else the "best" is Gulden's Spicy Brown or Kosciuscko (sp?) or Plochmann's that's ok, too.
But Heinz mustard? French's ketchup? WTF? Amirite?

I was just riffing on the Bentley theme. By all means, go for what you like, Sahib.
A farm up near Albany (Altamont, NY) makes a pretzel honey mustard dip that is absolutely incredible. I've seen big companies offer something similar, but they don't even come close. Dip some smoked/grilled kielbasa on that and it's like heaven. I've put it on patty melts, turkey sandwiches, etc. Just great stuff. Hell it might even make ice cream better, it's that good.
They opened a Maille store down the street from me on the UWS. An entire store of just mustard. I have yet to go. But it is officially hot dog season now, so I should probably get over there.
and it much better than the store bought alternative. Not convenient in the sense that it spoils rapidly, but if you're making a salad (macaroni, potato) or a few sandwiches it's worth the effort.
And I love both dijon and spicy mustard. That peppercorn mustard also works in some situations, but I'm not a fan of the texture in others (nobody wants a grainy hot dog).
I don't know if you've ever tried this one but it's fantastic. I first had it while in Iraq (my roommate had someone send it to him) and have been a fan ever since.
I used to agree until I moved to the south and discovered Duke's Mayonnaise.
Finally, something to agree on! Dukes became available in our area fairly recently, and it has replaced the other jarred mayos when we use such. Homemade is certainly still the best. Try adding some fresh tarragon to it when you make it and serve with steamed asparagus.
Heinz catsup, I can tell right away. Only ketchup I'll use.
As for mustard, I haven't bought a domestic brand in awhile except regular yellow for my kids to use on hot dogs. I pretty much bring back a few jars of German or Czech mustard everytime I'm over there.

Hmmm...I guess "jarred" mayo is kin to "battered" shrimp?

Amazing that the worst mustard on the market is the most popular
Whole Foods ketchup?!? are you kidding me? UGH!!! I can't even mustard the words to describe how upset I am with you right now.
heinz mustard is pretty prevalent
maybe he relishes his time here? Mayo mind your own business from now on.
MASS HYSTERIA!
Kosciusko Beer Mustard is pretty awesome too.
You're just trying to start shit, huh?
Kosciusko Mustard
That is all
/1%er
Regular yellow mustard? Why bother.
Stay away from my Dijon

There are other companies who make sriracha sauce.
Oh, and this, which is the absolute fucking bomb:
Ketchup is Heinz. Period.

Oh, and sriracha is the most overrated condiment in the history of condiments. Freakin' Hipster Joy Juice. Blech.
I won't let the hipsters stop me from enjoying something delicious.
