viggie : 5/21/2015 8:06 am
Marcus LoVett waited until the very end, but he ultimately committed to St. John’s.

The 5-foot-11 Morgan Park (IL) point guard Tweeted out a picture of himself signing a National Letter of Intent to play for the Red Storm.

“It’s official NLI is done mom and dad trust this was best decision I made for MYSELF BrightLights here we come…” he Tweeted.

LoVett held offers from DePaul, Illinois, Kansas, Memphis, Pitt, St. John’s, UC-Irvine, and Tennessee, among others. To read more of this story, click here

it seems. No word on anything else.
The staff is confident his transcript is in order

since that was the issue, not his grades or ACT. He has been to I think three highschools.

The kid is the goods. A lot of high majors were in on him.

Next is Mussini. All signs point to him signing with SJU as well. After that, is Larrier. That is moving slowly, because it appears he has some family issues he is taking vary of. No worries about scholarships, because they will find one for him.

This staff has done a remarkable job in putting together a borderline tournament team in such a short period of time. Starting with the class of 2016 and beyond, look out. Fun times ahead.

And I am usually a pessimist.
Pretty crazy what they've done in 60 days

They have a good team this year and plenty of openings for 2016 guys to come in and play right away.
i just said that to a friend

Mullin, Slice and Matt have done an AMAZING job. Class is now ranks 41 nationally and 4th BE and that doesn't even include Durand.
Gonzaga is trying to get Mussini too,

but they already have 3 PGs in line for the next 3-4 years.

Zags' blog hasn't reported that. Thanks.
Great to see if he is qualified

which it sounds like he is.

Hopefully we land Mussini or Papagiannis as well with the last ship or both if we open another scholarship up.

Hoping Sima signs his LOI soon.

Sounds like Larrier down to Uconn or Maryland.
Sounds like Jordan is academically ineligible

For at least the 1st semester. Prob the biggest waste of talent in SJU history.

This is probably the best thing for the program. Outside of obekpa a total clean start.

Doubt Jordan sticks around for the December run.
Later Jordan

Cant get behind a guy like him. All the talent and everything given to him and he continues to just f everything up. Dont waste time on hoping he can come back in Dec. Let him go and enjoy Europe. Wonder how many flights he'll take back to philly per week
