Some observations first off the games against Marbury are games after sitting out 3 months and they asked him to come back because they needed a spark and i believe had an injury...
his shooting stroke what i have noticed he shoots on the way down sometimes and that is why his shot is flat...his form is not terrible, just needs to work on shooting with more arc...
His 3 point shot is almost to relaxed and what i mean is he shoots like he is in the gym by himself...it is to relaxed and thats why he misses short...
He shoots better off the dribble and in one fluid motion, rather than catch and shoot...
He played off the ball when he came back when he and Bynum were on the court together, i dont think this was the case early in the season because i do not think Bynum was on the team at the beginning of the season...
He has a quick first step, and nice crossover, he is strong when going up and draws the foul a lot but needs to hit his free throws, again it is almost like he is too relaxed and comes up short...even air balling a free throw...
defensively i noticed a little lazy getting back but this could also be conditioning after sitting out for so long but when he is back you can see the potential...he is big and strong and quick laterally but again it is not the greatest competition, a couple of times Marbury drove right by him...so he has potential but needs to be consistent...

Russell is not athletic enough to get into the paint in the NBA, not quick enough to guard the PGs in the NBA...he is a better shooter and maybe passer and that is about it...
Mudiay - From what I've seen, he reminds me of Baron Davis. Exceptionally strong, talented passer and handler. I think his shooting will improve because the form isn't terrible.
Russell - Combo of MCW and Andre Miller (neither references the fact that the kid is lefty). But he's a crafty offensive player who can get where he wants to go despite not having great quicks and hops when he gets to the rim. I do think he'll struggle on D.
Porzingis - if we were to compare him to Kaminsky, I'd say that he appears to be a lot more athletic, a lot longer, even a better stroke....and equally in need of a sandwich and a weight room.
This seems like sound logic, and very likely, but it's weird to hear Francesa reporting on NBA rumors.
That would push Okafor right into the Knicks lap, because Philly will probably take a guard

Not impressed. The Ohio state guard is much better. Mudiay offense skill are average and defense is terrible. There's got be an impact player at 4. Tired of the Knicks drafting average to sorry players. Isn't the college level better competition than the Chinese league?

Sounds a lot like what people were saying about Steph Curry and James Harden before they came into the league. The big knocks on them were lateral quickness, average athleticism, etc. Not saying Russell compares to those guys, but speed and athleticism aren't everything.

Steph Curry and James Harden are the outliers not the norm...
The only thing the same about them is they are both terrible on defense and slow footed...

Sign me up for 15 years of Baron Davis.
Your analysis of Frank continues to be way off.

He said he heard from scouts that Mudiay is probably going to the Lakers with the 2nd pick. They have Randle coming off an injury from last year who is very similar to Okafor and they think Mudiay is better than Russell. The comparison for Mudiay is Westbrook.

This is why ending up at 4 isn't all that bad. Barring something dumb we'll end up with a great player.

Seems like one thing is for certain: we won't end up with Towns. I can't see him getting past the Lakers.
