Please let DeGrom (4-4, 3.21 ERA) be the stopper! He is opposed by Jaime Garcia, who is starting for the first time since undergoing thoracic outlet surgery in July.
If he doesn't work out, maybe the Cardinals would be willing to take one of Niese/Gee/Colon out of our hands as their no 5 starter for their stretch run?

After Lagares was finally able to work a walk for like the 2nd time all year.
NOT. 1-0 Mets
They just can't get out of their own fucking way.

hey, it's what happens when AAA players are eating up your lineup.
solid depth is just as important in baseball as it is in football. I'm not saying their bench sucks, I'm just saying that when guys need a day off, these aren't players you feel confident in producing.
When d'Arnaud got hurt, they brought up a rookie and he's the starter.. Wright got hurt, they moved over the 2b and then brought up a rookie to play 2b (who also got hurt).
Common thread is, the bench guys aren't good enough to start when a player is hurt.. they bring up rookies.
Need to get their heads examined.
2-0 METS!
We can't let the bullpen jeopardize this
I'll like this picture more when Matz and Wheeler are behind them.

next season!
Wow - Harvey is 6'4" and he looks tiny in that pic!
only 10? psht.. he has 11.. 10 is for losers.
There is no one on the Mets bench who hits that much better than Jacob D
I can just see it coming now...

Tejada is a God.. we all know this (in the eyes of TC)
Mayberry looks like what he's always been. I'm shocked that he hasn't turned into this great player after the Mets signed him.
It won't happen, 100 pitches and all that but I'm not a fan of strict pitch counts and babying these guys.
