he's not going to be ready by September and i don't want either of them at G
he isn't going to be the next coming of Mel Hein. He needs time to adjust to the american game plus he's ultimately a project he could just end up like majority of UDFA's and get cut. Probably wont though.Hope he does well.
Ricburgh at center . That's what he was drafted to be and as a 2nd rounder that's where he'll play. Some UDFA isn't going to take his spot. Jones and Jerry is the competition at G.
And Flowers isn't starting at LT as a rookie!! Come on! Pugh is a vet and was a LT in college. It's not rocket science.

No.. It is obviously a science which you have down perfectly. Any other speculation that does not coincide with your conclusion is worthy of your patronizing comments.

So sorry. Might I recommend a nice knitting website for you to visit. I heard they're very sensitive over there.
many times between OTA's and the opening game....no sense arguing over who will start where.....just hope we have a line that can grow into something.....
Jones has enough to worry about just acclimating to the league without worrying about making the calls. I just hope he or someone else can beat out Jerry because if they can't this line is going to have issues yet again.
I'm not discounting Jones, but we really don't know much about him at all. He's even admitted he will have a big adjustment to the NFL game.
I just think it's better long-term for the Giants to put Richburg at his natural position - a position in McAdoo's system that makes the OL line calls too (Eli did this under Gilbride).
That is what he was drafted to play and did nothing special as a LG last year. If you are going to shift guys around, then let Jones see if he can play OG, or simply backup at OC. But, Richburg should be in the middle.
He was drafted to be the long term solution at C. He needs to play C and stay there unless his play says otherwise. There is nothing gained by delaying his development further.
on the already questionable line, that was set now makes it (the O-Line) even weaker than before.
Too many question marks.
Can Richburg be a starting center. Basically only one year experience and at a different position. He's plugged in there so let's hope he can do the job.
Schwartz coming off basically a season long injury. I did like they way he played (on the right side) in that brief appearance than he did in the exhibition games at Left Guard.Leave him at right guard he's better than Jerry.
Do you leave Pugh at RT or move him to LT. He played LT in college and may be better suited for the LT position or leave him at RT and put Flowers at LT. The one positive to leaving him at RT is he's experience there so no learning curve. Wherever Flowers goes its going to a learning experience. The one thing these are your starting tackles.
I like moving Pugh and having Flowers on the Right. Pugh has a couple of years experience and can and will work hard at adapting. If you put Flowers at LT not only will he be raw but who's at LG? That's two positions on the same (blind) side that's new. If it turns out to be Hart then that's two rookies on the same side. I've liked the speculation of having Flowers and Schwartz as maulers on the Right.
That leaves the LG position open. Then we have Hart, Jones, Jerry, Mosley. Somebody step up!
I'm very interested in reading all the proclamations with
absolute certainty that Jones can or cannot compete for a starting job. The truth is we just don't know. On the one hand it's true that the CFL where he played isn't close to level of competition that he'll face in the NFL. But it''s also true that he flat out dominated at that level.
So we'll see. He'll find his level at training camp and during pre-season. And when he does, there will be a few people here who will by saying 'I told you so.' It just remains to be seen, which ones.
No. Richburg is a C and was drafted high to play there. And he

Good points.
I guess I hope he's legitimate so they avoid putting John Jerry on the field. I understand how the unity of Richburg at center is important, but they just lost they're starting Left Tackle.

Let's see it play out. There will be more injuries -some on the OL, even.
I agree. Before this incident, I did not believe Flowers would play tackle this year period. He needs some work. I figured he'd start out at guard.
Some folks don't know it but Schwartz can play ROT. I'd expect him and Flowers to battle for it with Schwartz winning and Flowers to tackle.
I'm thinking Pugh-Flowers-Richburg-Jones/Jerry-Schwartz right now.
In fact, if Pugh plays well enough, it may be stupid to replace him with Beatty late in the season and f-up the line's cohesion.

Sorry for the snappy remark.. I'll visit a few knitting sights and see if I fit in better..

I was a bit snappy myself.
Good point. Quality depth is more realistic for Jones, I was a bit ahead of myself
I too like Flowers at LT.
I understand how Pugh makes sense.. but I have extremely high hopes for Flowers. His attitude and power is left tackle material
I get it now.
It is not rocket science ...
Richburg is the future Center for sure

Things are not ideal anymore
