NFT: DEck painting

larryinnewhaven : 5/21/2015 7:12 pm
I have a 12 year old pressure treated wood deck that I regrettably put a solid stain on ten years back and is an absolute nightmare to maintain. Has anyone used Deck Restore or DEckover by behrs? Also have heard there's a surface paint that's almost like a rhino shield that people have used.
I just painted mine with 4x restore. It's very thick to put on.

The previous owner painted the deck!! I finally tore it up and put down new wood. I looked into the deckover stuff but my wood was going so I started over. Seemed like a ok solution.

You can't sand down the solid stain and use a regular stain?
I've saved a few decks using

boat dock paint. Made for constant water contact. Seals everything up and you can use it in a paint sprayer. Have a few going on 4 or 5 years now with no damage or wear.
Thanks guys

Every person I have ran into, including myself, has had issues with it. It will not last more than 6 months before is starts to bubble and peel.

If you have used it, save your receipt or they wont give you any money back. Best the offered was to reimburse me for the product if I bought and did it over. Its complete crap why would I waste more of my time putting a crappy product back on my deck.

And before you ask, followed directions to the T. Every step and wasted a lot of time and money.

Complete crap
