Sub 4.5/40, 10.5' broad jump, 18 bench reps, solid agility results. Looks like a free safety candidate all day. Merritt is my favorite Giants defensive position coach. We've now got a handful of young athletic players for him to work with. I expect he'll get them playing well as a unit sooner than later.
will be a team strength. We have some interesting pieces back there. Seems like a very bright group that will be able to communicate with the CB's. This is a group I'm going to focus on this summer
this year at safety, but they made the right calls on Rolle and Brown. Rolle was a tougher call to make, but letting him go was the right business decision.
know why, but I feel a lot better about this guy now then when we picked him. He has some CB skills, but he is big enough to play FS. Also seems to tackle well, and is smart.
The biggest negative on him in college was that he didn't make a lot of plays on the ball, but he supposedly really improved down the stretch.

You feel better because he is unusually mature. He's played multiple positions. But that versatility could also make him a "jack of all trades, master of none." He also has "upside." He's another "high ceiling," "low floor," guy. Reese has whiffed on a lot of those players. He's due to hit on one. Maybe it's Thompson.

This year we've got Landon and Mykkele, a 2nd year Berhe, Cooper Taylor back and a healthy vet Gordy.
this year's S group looks much improved!
So true. Plus, I thought he looked good early in the season when he got a chance.
That Thompson interview was refreshing. Hoping he can be a player for us.
