His productivity stats are so high I think it justifies a high pick. Attribute it to drive, skillset or whatever but a player cannot be putting up those numbers without being a special player. That is the PAC-12 conference and though I am not a college football guru the competition in that conference appears good. Scooby's stats for last year include
Solo Tackles 99
Total tackles 163 (11.6 per game)
Tackles for Loss 29
Sacks 14 (equates to 1 per game)
Forced fumbles 6
Gimme a season's worth of college hype first!

OSU is my pick to win it all this year. They are absolutely stacked. The defense, in particular, is going to dominate.

I happen to like him, but he doesn't have the athleticism you want from a top 10 pick. Extremely productive, but not the most athletic LB.

Scooby has been a fantastic player and he MIGHT go in the first round, but he won't test well at the Combine. He's simply not that athletic and in this day and age, you want athletes on your team. Scooby could end up being a good LB and I think he will be, but given his athletic limitations, he'll always have a medium ceiling.
And Tunsil's rehab is apparently going well. He should reestablish himself as a top-notch OT prospect. Another guy I really like is Jack Conklin of Michigan State.
