Randy Moss first formed a bond with Kassi Spier in 1998, back when he was a rookie wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings and she was a 2-year-old fan attending an autograph session at the team’s training camp. “He just fell in love with me because I just yelled, ‘Randy,’ ” Spier told the Pioneer-Press years later. Two years after their first encounter, Spier was diagnosed with leukemia and in 2004, her father died in a car accident. In 2013, Spier was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Through it all, Moss kept up with his young fan and on Friday, he surprised her at her high school graduation ceremony by handing her the diploma. |
He settled for six figures, apparently, so I'm not sure he "barely bumped into her."
Instead of making some overarching commentary on who he is as a human being, I'll just say this is pretty wonderful of him.
He has an issue with weed? Give me a break on that one. Its basically decriminaluzed, most of the population thinks it shoukd be legal and kills about one billionth of those dead from alchol, prescription drugs, etc. Absurd to label him has having an issue with weed. A cup of soda is far worse.

he's been accused of DV but no charges were ever filed. He clearly had an issue with weed. But there are a lot of these under the radar stories about him along with charity that he does without mugging for the camera.

Oh shut the fuck up. His issue with weed is that he wasn't able to avoid trouble with it from the law and his employer, not that he smoked it. Nobody here is a prude and nobody here is stupid.

Mike, just think what a dull world this would be if what you said weren't true.
You do understand this is BBI right? :)

The issue isn't marijuana itself, it's how he's used it in the past. His 30 for 30 reported that he'd get high before games in HS and he smoked when he knew he was going to be tested at Florida State, at one point leading to his incarceration back in West Virginia for violating the conditions of his parole. Weed isn't the issue here, his continued use despite knowing there would be negative ramifications on his career is the issue. That's not responsible use regardless of the substance in question. And that's coming from someone who supports full legalization.
Why does this point need to be explained over and over and over again?
im sorry randy was a great receiver first ballot HOF
but there are some really strange photos of him on google i felt the need to share and what he did for that kid is actually really nice

But it's just weed. Why do you people get so worked up over it?

So 99% of the human race is neither good or bad on balance?
Hokay.
Unfortunately, few of our saints are saints.

Randy is a flawed person but not a bad one or a good one (probably like 99% of us).

Cam, I've always thought of you as an, um, okay guy.

Unfortunately for my fellow humans, my reference point for judging you is me.
You all are not necessarily wastes of good, breathable air.
There, I complimented you. It was difficult, but nothing worth doing is easy.

Something done from love is beyond good and evil.
