I’ll tell you what “a lot” is. A lot is the NY Giants. The NFL averages 62 lost starts due to injury (AGL’s) per season. The Giants have averaged 92 lost starts over this period. When comparing vs each year, 2009 4% worse than average, then 14% worse, 31% worse, 28% worse, 108% worse and 84% worse… The NY Giants have suffered 45% more lost starts than the rest of the league.

That is really hard to do. This is why we believe that it is an outlier. It passes the eye test. You look at the data on the bell curve in the previous post, and there are the Colts and Giants, gapped apart from where the rest of the NFL resides.

This is a question that won't go away and shouldn't

until there are some answers and significant improvement. Something is very wrong. Are the players lifting to much? Are they stretching too little? I don't know. But this has clearly gone on long enough, so that it's clear something is wrong. And it needs to be dealt with.
you guys are aware that

we adopted the same techniques that The Eagles used the year before and that seemed to be working.

The players were equipped with GPS devices, when so many yards were traveled a water break was called and stretches.

If the Eagles led the league in 2914 (in a positive sense) in time lost to injuries, and if that was attributed to the Navy seal, the gps program etc, it sure didn't work because both teams got hit.

TC has been exhaustive in his search for an answer. There is none. Each time you flip the coin there's a fifty fifty chance, but it still can up heads five times in a row

Grizz299: I don't think GPS means what you think it means
Ivan15 : 5/26/2015 10:28 pm : link
I could be wrong about this, but using Global Positioning Survey equipment to track player movement doesn't make sense to me. You have a lot of different players at various positions and they all are not moving the same distance or even close to the same distance? Do you decide that the O-line players average 1 mile, is time to take a break but if the WRs average 3 miles, they don't need a break?

I have not seen any explanation from the Giants about how they are using GPS, although Coughlin has used the term "GPS" on several occasions.

Can anyone clarify?

Well, what do you think he thinks it means? In order for him to reply, he needs to know what you think he thinks, so he can tell you if what he thinks is what you think he thinks, or what you think he should think... personally, I don't know of anyone who doesn't think it means Global Positioning System.
Man...

I think you're right.

According to a story about gadgets the Eagles are using, they are putting devices on the players to monitor their performance but it isn't about tracking their location but about monitoring their heart rate and vitals, acceleration, and reaction times.
