AAA-
Matz 7 innings 3 hits 0 runs 1 walk 7 k's

Tovar 2-4
Rivera 1-4, BB, K
AA-
Ynoa 6.1 innings 7 hits 5 runs 0 walks 0 k's (most disappointing prospect in the system for me. Headed toward non-prospect status to me)
Black 1 inning 1 hit 0 runs 0 walks 0 k's
Parnell 1 inning 0 hits 0 runs 1 walk 1 k
Cecchini 1-4, K (very nice season so far, errors are something to monitor)
King 1-4
Boyd 1-4, K
A+
McNeil 4-5, K, SB
Conforto 0-2, 2 BB
Smith 1-4, 2b, K
Rosario 1-4
Stuart 1-3, BB, K
Diaz 5.2 innings 5 hits 3 runs 4 walks 4 k's
Smoker 2 innings 5 k's

Guillorme 0-2, 2 BB, K
Garcia 0-2, 2 BB, K
Becerra 2-4, 2b, K
Wieck 6.2 innings 4 hits 1 run 1 walk 9 k's (silly he's in Savannah as a college SP at his age, should be promoted)
Roseboom 1 inning 1 hit 0 runs 1 walk 1 k (also should be promoted
"I was 8 years old and I went to a Mets Baseball Academy camp, I want to say in Great Neck or Little Neck, New York," Whalen said. "I don't think they do it anymore. I remember meeting Mookie Wilson out there, playing catch with Scott Strickland and younger guys. I won, it was called, the Tom Seaver Most Outstanding Pitcher award. I was the only guy who got it that year. I wasn't even a pitcher then. I just could throw really hard for being 8 years old. It's a cool memory. And I still have that little medal."
Whalen primarily throws a sinker in the 89-91 mph range, although he can dial his four-seam fastball up to 92 or 93, and even an occasional 94 when required. He also throws a curveball, slider and the emerging changeup.
"I just try to pound the zone with the sinker," Whalen said. "I can take some off, just like Bartolo [Colon] does if you watch him. It's just working off that fastball and trying to get early contact."- Rubin
Then the bat is already here rather than hope for two or three years.
Go get the bat today by moving out the hopes of a bat developing tomorrow while protecting the arms. It's not anybody wants to part ways with any arms around here.
A year has to pass right?

Nobody is trading for BrandoN Nimmo at "fair" value while he's laid up with a knee issue. He's had previous knee problems (which is likely where his once "track star" speed) went. You would be selling low at this point.

A year from when he signed. Starting this year the rule will be the day after the world series concludes.

he's not expected to join the MLB team for at least a year. It's not like an MLB player on the DL or a pitcher on the DL b/c of an elbow.

Disagree. This is not some prospect headed towards surgery or coming off surgery or close to making his debut. His worth hasn't changed b/c he's out for a bit. The value is his future.
LMAO...
Good news is there are lots of "arms" in the system and the major league club is far from in need of a young ace. But the shelves could use a restocking.
LMAO...
Not sure you wouldn't botch placing ketchup on a hotdog.
LMAO...
I wouldnt get into with him. He has his opinions and that's fine but I feel like he's being deliberately obtuse at times and you can't reason with people like that. I don't know why you guys argue with him.

I'd really like to see Wieck and Roseboom promoted right now. Wieck, Gsellman and Meisner are probably the "next 3" in terms of health/upside, Lugo is worth monitoring in "that mix". BA thinks Wieck is a reliever but great starters build if you ask me.
and i have a ties inside the Sox organization who claim the Mets asking price at the table is so absurd they'll never make a move. Needless to say, the Mets credibility is a low in MLB as it gets even prior to Cuddyer for a #1.
Totally agree on this point. Ynoa underperformance has been very disappointing. Him and champ.

I love how 2012 spends post after post - after post - railing on Sandy, then shows us what a great GM he would make by trying to trade guys who can't even be traded yet, and thinking that injured guys have tons of trade value.
LMAO...

Given his posts on baseball - and other - threads, his obtuseness is definitely not deliberate...
Couldn't be further from the truth.
Been in finance for over 25 years and i don't make a living growing a playoff beard and dropping F bombs in a hockey thread for a living. Perhaps you could set your own bar a bit higher than the floor.

A sample size might trick a few into believing the Mets suddenly get it but the signing of Cuddyer for a #1 and this miserable offense indicates they still hype it up better than the Cards, Sox and company get it year after year.

Ties with the Red Sox, eh? Any of these guys work at the Flying Puck?

Haha. I bet a guy who struggles to form coherent thoughts is really killing it out there in the real world.
You're 100% some fat middle aged loser with no friends and no life outside of whatever your cool "finance" job is. You're not fooling anyone.
Ties with the Red Sox.. gahahah... good stuff. Tell me more about "hippa". Please.
No idea if it's just bad luck but the sheer # of TJS pitchers in the Mets organization has to be above average at this point #mets

@wexlerrules Its not luck.

@wexlerrules Yes. Lots of teams doing same things, so not damning them alone.

Angry again lol? It's funny when you can't take what you dish out and come up with these absurd guesses about others lives. Raise that bar winner. Maybe you can start with a shave this week

Really can't stop thinking about my facial hair, huh? Seems to be a common theme with your posts towards me. Just completely obsessed.
Very weird.

I assumed he was young. Thus the "class of 2012" No grown adult could possibly rationalize the way he does. I'm sure he loves all this attention we are giving him though.
Big deal, Montero is hitting .667:), Gorski .556

Lol - good lord. When you and Crosby get jobs, check back lol. Nobody has meltdowns like you two over a Mets opinion and it's clear neither of you have much, if anything, worth placing on a resume.
Any different opinion and the meltdowns from you two are embarrassing consdering your ages. Grow up

LMAO. This is hysterical coming from you.
Laughing at you because of your behavior on this board (claiming the NHL was delaying a Stadium Series game as a test run for the Super Bowl at MetLife, thinking HIPAA is called "hippa", claiming to hear complete BS rumors about Mats Zuccarello having a stroke (lol) at the Flying Puck from Ranger dads who were just.. for some bizarre reason discussing this openly amidst hundreds of fans.. claiming to have "ties" with the Boston Red Sox.. ) is not quite.. "meltdown"... but you keep on going to that well, buddy. I realize you've got your go-to's that you can't let go of.
You're a complete clown. No one takes you seriously. Literally no one.
It looks like Sandy is in a tough spot right now. Matz clearly looks ready for the show, but the team owes money to Niese/Colon/Gee and none of them have any trade value for various reasons. I think most of us would expect Matz to outperform any of those 3 going forward in 2015, so it's up to Sandy to find a way to make it happen.
