Curtis Granderson – RF

Wilmer Flores – SS
Danny Muno – 3B
Kevin Plawecki – C
Noah Syndergaard – RHP
we've seen another jump in velocity after year one with the big club with Harvey and deGrom(going into year two). I cant imagine Thor throwing HARDER next year. lol.
faith DW being healthy anymore. I think the team needs to find a long terms solution with 3rd base. They have to now start relying on guys like duda, flo, darnaud, etc as the big hitters.

Agreed- DW's contributions need to be viewed as bonus. He cannot be counted on to be the all star level engine that drives the team. Finding another star every day player should have already been a need, but now it's a critical one. COF seems like the most likely landing spot so it will be interesting to see how things play out over the next months (and eventually offseason).
Throwing hard is nice, but he needs to generate swings and misses at the MLB level if he's going to be the ace we want him to be. He hasn't done a great job of that so far.
However, I'm confident that the swings and misses will pick up because his stuff is so good and (at least in his previous outings) he mixed his stuff up.

My comment was said tongue-in-cheek, but yeah he has to get more missed bats. He's young, he'll get there...
Nice thing is, he doesn't have to be an "ace" - #3 behind Harvey and deGrom is quite OK...
Has quietly hit .333 over the last 11 games. 2 homers and 9 rbis in that span as well. The guy can still hit and will continue to as the summer goes on IMO.

He has to hit, but he also can't miss any games on this team or they're sunk.
RE: RE: And Cuddyer now right on track statistically Â
This dude can hit. There is NO ONE on the Mets bench with as sweet a swing as Snydergaard. He'd be my #1 choice to pinch hit in a key spot every day of the week that he's not pitching.
play the phillies more than 19 times? Can MLB move the schedule around and let the Mets play them for the rest of September in case the Mets are in a playoff race?
Agreed. Add Colon to the mix. He's been a great story but at 42 he likely doesn't have a whole lot left in the tank and he has zero chance of being on this team next year. If we can get rid of him, do it. At least Neise can be a placeholder as the 5th starter in 2016 until Wheeler comes back.

Gee for Parra seems fair. Can't see the Brewers taking on Niese at 14 and I can't see the Mets viewing Parra as being worth 8-9 (including the money eaten on Niese)
Syndergaard is THIS good this early. We have been so spoiled seeing this happen with Harvey and then deGrom. Its unreal and I'm betting it happens again with Matz.

Don't say Trout pls.

Got cash back for him. I would have taken a bag of balls and been okay with that.
Yeah, but didn't strike anyone out - he sucks!

Murphy knocks home Duda...
Not yet. He's in California for the week. Im guessing we know by the end of this weekend one way or another.
so true.
Yup. And we still haven't seen him rip off a full hot streak yet. Its coming.
Flores and Cuddyer. Everybody's favorite whipping boys. Guess they'll have to find somebody else.

For the role they needed he was a very efficient signing.

Lol. Cuddyer hasn't even cracked 750 OPS and we're calling people out?
Plus Matz was 2 for 2 with a HR last night.
We've found our replacement for DW.
Cuddyer, Murphy, Flores, and Duda all hot.
Unfortunately Granderson has cooled off now and gone cold. Lagares has been abysmal.
Not everyone is ever going to be hot at once but its nice to finally a see a few guys hitting together.

even if it's just for a 4th OFer type like Parra.
