Does anybody here have experience using the on-board wifi on a delta flight? I am going to be on a flight tomorrow night and was wondering if the wi-fi is good enough to use apps (namely the NBC Live Sports app) with streaming video so I could watch the Ranger game. Thanks for your input.
Best you can do is to find whatever radio station is carrying the game and listen in.

New to me, sounds awesome. But it says the media is stored on the plane.
Most of the media Delta hosts and it is accessed through their site - movies and TV shows.
another great option, thank you so much for the recommendation.
Foreign carriers use satellite connectivity so you can usually stream video and get internet over the oceans.
I actually saw a guy with what i think was a Slingbox set up on a Delta flight from SFO to JFK during the NYG/Atlanta playoff game in 2011 somehow stream the game right to his laptop. He rigged the laptop up to the bulkhead so his seatmates and those around him could watch as well. Never seen that before.

Thanks B. Unfortunately I'm flying out to a bachelor party, and had to take a later flight b/c of work, booked a long time ago. They will all be there watching the game already, and it will be impossible to not find out what happened until I get home on Sunday! I'm DVRing the game (+120 minutes) and I'll try to listen on the plane using the suggestions from this thread. Hopefully they win and I'll have something fun to watch on Sunday!
