Might be too early but...
Who is your first round target this year?
Who is the consensus first overall pick?
Who are you keeping?
What rookies will you target?
What is your ideal round to draft a QB?
What is AP's value?
Just curious to hear some opinions o
If you're for some fantasy discussion
Charles #1 doesn't do it for me though I suspect he's the guy most people take. Forte won't catch as many passes this year and Murray won't rush anywhere close to 2015.
I'd love a later pick this year. Getting a Lynch/Beckham combo in the first 2 rounds would be nice but I haven't really looked at anything yet to know what's realistic.
kelsto - what are your thoughts on this subject? After all this is your thread. Shouldn't you provide us with some of the things you are thinking about?
I have to decide between Luck and Bell as keepers...I got Bell in the 2nd and Luck in the 4th...
I still like Bell as the top RB in PPR
I think 4th-6th round is good value for a QB though and Luck is top 2 fantasy in that spot
I picked AP first last season...I'm not gonna go near him this year. I'll let someone else deal with that headache
Rookies I'm not so sure of. Gotta see some preseason action.
In terms of WR I have to say OBJ is my guy in the 2nd if he's there...however he's probably going to be a keeper and if not I'm still gonna have pick 11 in a 12 team draft
2. No way to answer your questions without understanding the scoring of the league. Yes, it matters.
RB choices in round 1 are now over rated.
Drafting a QB to me is determined on how the draft is unfolding. If two guys in front of you pick Manning and Rodgers in round 1 ahead of you, then do the right thing and take the top WRs that they passed on. Dont get crazy and start drafting Romo or Luck in the top 10. You have to offset the production they are getting from the top 2 QBs by getting the top WRs or RBs.
Right now, we just dont know which RB will be a guy who is carrying the load for a team all game long. Cannot count on Murray with Chip Kelly. MAYBE McCoy now that he is with Rex but I dont trust him enough to draft him in the top 10 either.
what do feel like now is I'm keeping Odell Beckham for an 8th round pick.
And I'm likely deciding between Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, and Kelvin Benjamin and Julio Jones for my other keeper.
Jones would cost me a first. Evans a 7th, Watkins a 9th and Benjamin a 13th, so it's probably going to be Benjamin.
In a PPR league, Antonio Brown, to me, is the clear #1.
A lot of People don't draft backup TEs, but I have been hurt by bad TEs too often not to take a quality back up. Hell, I thought I was in like Flynn last season taking Vernon Davis in the 5th. That didn't work out too well. Micah Rivera is my friend. Other league I waited and waited on TE, ended up drafting Ladarius Green, and eventually trading for Julius Thomas, who got hurt the week after I got him. Don't underestimate TE value. Im not shooting for Gronk or Graham, but I will be drafting a quality backup.
even in non-ppr leagues.

sorry, misread - you said you're not shooting for Gronk or Graham.

Just checked Walter Football, they have Odell ranked as the number 1 receiver.
that's a very immature way of looking at fantasy football. Don't play if you cannot separate the individual achievements of a player from the team results.
I drafted McCoy and Dan Bailey last year. I won a lot of $$$$.
I'd keep Bell. RB's in keeper leagues are generally hard to come by. Too bad you have to give up your 2nd round pick to do it.
I've been wondering what I would do if AP fell to me at the end of the 1st round. It sure would be tempting to take a chance on him. If by the end of the Summer he is still not practicing with the Vikings or any other team, I wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot cattle prod.
I have Alshon Jeffrey as a keepable. Fortunately, I only have to give up a 7th round pick to keep him. He's going to look good along side who ever I pick up in the first two rounds.
1. Mason/Gurley - who knows what to expect.
2. Leveon Bell - I know he is a beast, bu 3 games missed for a 1st round pick is a lot.
3. McCoy - I think he is done and they have no QB.
4. Russell WIlson - he is the consensus 4th QB. Ive seen him consistently go in rounds 5-6. I think Eli, Romo, Ryan are better options in rounds 9-10.
That is a really stupid comment. Homers never do well in fantasy football.
this happened in auctions as well - got Lynch for much less than the other top 5-6 RBs
Good luck this year
That way, if I see a run on a top tier, I can jump ahead and pick them up. (Last year, I wanted to get one of Rodgers, Brees, P. Manning, so I didn't draft RB until much later).
