dynasties survived without OTAs..Just went to training camp and played 6 preseason games..More than enough time..And, they didn't have all the physical and mental aids available today..
Oh well..Just beating a dead horse..My least favorite time of the year

I'm pretty sure those teams practiced just as much as every other team in the league at that time.
Are you advocating for even less practice than the teams are allowed under the current CBA?

They didn't have ACLs back then, a player said his knee hurt, they gave him a pack of cigarettes, a shot of whiskey and rubbed some dirt on it. Problem solved.

I hate when it happens to us and I hate when it happens to another team. Horrible.
I hate it when it happens to us, and I feel bad for the player when it happens to another team, But while I still feel bad for the player when it happens to the Cowboys, Eagles or Redskins, I don't feel bad for the teams ... in fact, I feel happy. There, I said it!
The other one I love is about cars "they don't build them like they used to"... Thank god for that. Paint and chrome that rusted in the show room, no disc brakes, a tune up every five thousand miles, bias belted tiresw that needed tubes and got flats reguarly....
Jim Marshall playing defensive end at 220 in a line with Alan Page at around 230 adn the center on that team was M. Tinkelhoff at around 210. They were not going to get injuries like the bloated behemouths of today.
RE: I heard Parcells required lineman to wear knee braces Â
during preseason practices to reduce the risk of injury. Would this have helped prevent an ACL? Just wondering because I really have no idea.
I don't think anybody really has an idea. If the answer was as simple as wearing braces, everybody would wear braces.
Braces haven't been shown to actually prevent tissue injuries, which ACLs are. In fact, some say the tension from wearing a brace can actually make it more risky.

LOL, I'm the same way. Always dread looking up at the stickies.
So...who wants to tell him?
Jason Peters did it.
This could happen to anybody. OBJ could end his season and derail his career tomorrow. And for what?

Lol
Poor humor aside, that sucks.
Yeah, for ONCE let it be others(if there are to be others) who get hit time after time..

At least he was on the field..

This will probably be one of the Bronco's two or three injury dilemma's all year. Meanwhile, the Giants will have 20 players on IR by about week 8.
