The Giants are 1-5 against the Cowboys in the last six games, and a Dez Bryant fingertip away from being 0-6.
The Giants are 2-4 against the Eagles in the last six games, and one of those wins was Andy Reid's last game and the other the Eagles finished with Matt Barkley at QB.
We can't win the NFC East unless we start beating these two teams.
Same goes for the final Eagles game last year.
This is the best Giants team we've had in about 3 years. I think we beat each of these guys at least once this year.
Yea, the Eagles have totally gotten the best of the giants during TC's tenure...
Remind me again who has the championships and who has....
Fuck it nevermind.
Regarding the OP, we're kinda stating the obvious, no?
New year, hopefully better health, better players..Cycles do end..
But whether that's different good, or different bad, is yet to be determined! ;-)
The Cowboys on the other hand have had our number.
Parcells used to own them, then they owned Parcells.
Reeves and Fassel didn't have much trouble with them for the most part.
But Coughlin can't seem to beat them.
We used to own Dallas, but it's switched.
i dont put it all on tom though. very glad perry fewell is gone

The trends with the Cowboys and Eagles are trends of a bad football team which unfortunately, the Giants have been for a while now.
The NFC East is full of crappy defenses.

I'm not sure how exactly the Giants accomplishments are relevant to that particular comment. They are 8-12 regular season against the Eagles during TC's tenure, and they are 0-2 against them in the playoffs. I think it's pretty fair to say the Eagles have owned the Giants for the most part during the past decade.

Whoopity fucking doo. I'd much rather they own us in the regular season and we come out with hardware in the end. I understand it'd be nice to own them *and get the hardware but are we really complaining? (dumb question I know.)
Yes, we gotta beat our division rivals who've been owning us. Well no shit.
As for the first eagle game last year, losing cruz in the fashion we did can fuck with a team.
The NFC East is full of crappy defenses.
Problem is the Giants have had one of those crappy defenses.
The title of this thread is very troubling.
Words to live by.
It hasn't been about the Wide Receivers going crazy.
A beefed up D-line, better tackling LBs, and Collins hopefully fix the problem.
Agreed. It's not like we're steamrollling other competition and the Boys/Birds just have our number.
The Eagles are a different story. The Giants do not ever seem to get the best of Jason Peters. Unlike Witten who makes catches with Giants guys on him, the Eagles TE are always open running the seams and the backs are always open. McCoy killed them
great point sir.

So are you suggesting that we have a choice of either winning a championship or beating our division rivals? Are you also suggesting that in the years we didn't win the ring, we would not have had a better chance of making the playoffs had we played better vs Philly and Dallas? Very confusion post.
New year, hopefully better health, better players..Cycles do end..
This is especially true in the case of their last 6 games against Dallas. All but 1 of these games was decided by a score or less. Even in their 1 double-digit loss to Dallas, the Giants had the ball down 7 in the 4th quarter.
Score 1
However, the shitty Redskins often have their way with the Cowboys.
what the problem was with offense in the second half. They always seemed to stop scoring coming out of half time. Both Cowboy games got away form them with that.
Coughlin was trying to maintain "balance"....

Philly should not be as formidable, plus it should take Sam Bradford quite a few games to get acclimated to Chip Kelly's Offense. If he gets hammered quite a bit then the learning curve gets longer.
Fuck Dallas, Fuck the Eagles. We got Eli and they dont. Its our year.
I hope that the changes Big Blue has made this off season will be successful, and that the Giants will finally beat their inner divisional rivals.

also, TC's need for balance and running 2 yards per carry when Eli and OBJ can torch defenses is ridiculous.
And do you actually think that philosophy changes this season?
I think Andy Reid had Gilbride's playbook and game plan every meeting.

no.
but my only hope is McAdoo didn't want to anger TC, being that it was his first year on the job. Hopefully, his balls have dropped this year and can recognize when to stay with the hot hand and not kill our own momentum.
