argue with facts, Ben has made it to (3) SB's and won (2) and his overall QB stats are better. If and when Eli getshis team to another SB we can revisit this.
Reminded by this post, are there any HOF QBs in this millenium?
Ben was a liability in one SB played well (but not) great in the other win. was not very good vs. GB. Eli has 2 SB MVPs. gotta be some juice there.
alsoPitt has had better teams, esp early with an excellent defense, and a weaker division. I am not gonna say one is 'better' they are comparable. I prefer my guy, tho

Ben was able to go to the Super Bowl in 2005 because he had:
- top three defense
- run game that was 1st in carries, 5th in yards
- 24th pass offense
- threw the ball 22 times per game (268 passes)
- surrounded by tremendous talent, two HOF'ers in Ward and Bettis, and possibly another in Faneca
makes it tough to compare. From 2005-2012, the Steelers had the #1 defense in the league 5 times, and only finished worse than #5 once (#9 in '06). If Eli's defenses had been that consistently good, maybe his stats would look a little better since he would not have had to take so many risks trying to make something happen.
Ben was so overrated his first 2 years, it was sickening
all he had to do was not make a mistake in a coddled offense... handoff, handoff, bootleg pass... top 5 defense to back him up... just like Russell Wilson. Eli had the whole complex playbook thrown at him and attempted a high amount of passes his first 2 years.
RE: Reminded by this post, are there any HOF QBs in this millenium?
but it would be very hard to put him ahead of Ben right now. Personally think the GIANTS poor drafting and FA selections seriously hurt ELI's stats and career. The lack of a serviceable OL for a drop back QB (and his run game) in his prime, is the culprit here. Blame whoever thats MO.

Please, we know you always had an axe to grind with Reese, ever since your idiotic affirmative action theory.
Careers if you compare them side by side. 30 td sesason, 400 yard seasons, one season with more ints than tds.
Ben is probably playing better now, but there were a few years where ben was playing average and missing games.
I think it's more on coaching and the front office, which has been noted a bit ago.
Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell are All Pro talents and really young players. Their OL has also gotten much better. Problem has been defense lately, but they're revamping it.
is an awesome quarterback. Probably better than Eli simply because he can extend the play and Eli cannot. Giant fans shouldn't feel the need to knock Ben down to prop up Eli. Eli is awesome in his own right.
Now somebody tell me about the Tyree play to argue that Eli can extend a play.
taking a sack by trying to extend a play and losing umpteen yards vs throwing the ball away and live to play another day... let's say it works for Ben 1 out of every 10 times he's been in trouble... remind me again how many games Ben has missed compared to Eli?
Eli has the heart of a lion... and tries too much to make a play...with no regard to his stats.
high number of interceptions? I guess we shouldn't mention Gilbride, his complicated offense and the idea that probably over half those INTs are because Eli's WRs are dumb asses.
Imo, if we drafted ben I don't think the giants win any superbowls and there never is a TC era. I just think he would have combusted here under the pressure
Eli is the greatest Giant whoever lived............
Not the greatest Giants player. The greatest Giant, there is a difference. What he has meant to this team is incalculable. Class, honor, the greatest victory in the history of the sport against the undefeated Pats, along with the greatest play in sports history in the same game. Roethlisberger is a Hall of Fame player. That said, he could never mean what Eli means to the NFL or sports in general. Eli is a living legend. There will never be another like him.
if this player played for a team instead of the other guy, they would have been better, is really hard to substantiate....
Remember the "quest for A-Rod"? The Red Sox looked like they had him, and then the Yankees moved in.....how many World Series did the Yankees win with A-Rod? Prior to A Rod, the Yankees went to the big show, 6 out of 8 years....with him, just once....
No one will ever know, for sure, what Rivers or Big Ben would have done as a Giant.....Would Eli have been a better qb in SD, if he really wanted to play there? Who knows for sure?
Things tend to work out the way they were suppose to, in the end......Eli has been the greatest qb, the Giants have ever had.......so appreciate him, while you can.....he won't be here forever....
The best QBs drafted since 2000 all need a SB win or a few more solid seasons and/or at least one more trip to the SB to be considered sure HOFers.
Brees (when was he drafted?), Rodgers, Big Ben, Eli and maybe Flacco.

But the officials made sure the Steelers won.
- top three defense
- run game that was 1st in carries, 5th in yards
- 24th pass offense
- threw the ball 22 times per game (268 passes)
- surrounded by tremendous talent, two HOF'ers in Ward and Bettis, and possibly another in Faneca
And he played terribly in the SB.

Brees and Rodgers are virtual locks for the HOF. Eli/Ben are likely in with a couple more good seasons, if they're not already.
Flacco doesn't deserve mention with the other guys.
Ben is probably playing better now, but there were a few years where ben was playing average and missing games.

And a few years of finger-raping sorority girls in dive bathrooms...

Once again Giant fans have to knock down Rothlisberger and Rivers to prop up Eli. Comes across as insecure.
