Not sure if he can cover man to man......he was doing great last year begore he got hurt.
With the positive reports on Collins..Bennett looks comfortable with change but never like to hear microfracture...seems Thompson has speed and Berhe in the wings
Safety is no longer one of my concerns
Collins obviously is being handed a starter's role.
Starting alongside side him will almost surely be one of Tayor,Berhe, or Bennet. Taylor's got the size, Berhe the attitude and instincts, Bennet the athleticism. Interesting battle to start.
Great potential in his 1st 2 yrs at Geo Tech and sidelined by a hidden heart defect (now resolved). Starred again at Richmond after his recovery. I thought then he could be one of those draft steals that Reese likes.
Like others, I'm no longer worried about safety. One thing I really like is that Taylor and Berhe (as well as Mykeal) TACKLE (wrap up). Both Berhe and Thompson attack and hit like lasers; if they lock on, you're down.
I sense that Bennett Jackson is going to be valuable depth and rotation.
One of those players you just have to root for........
with Taylor it has always been his health and injury concerns. When he is on the field he is a solid starting caliber safety but the guy just can't seem to make it through a season healthy. Let's pray this is the first season he is able to play all 16 games because then the safety position will be in fine shape with two talented young starting safeties.
A lot of bodies and some talent but all come with question marks. The best bet of the bunch is our 2nd round pick. A bit disconcerting.
But yes, we're in better shape than we were a month ago.
They will be hard pressed to be any worse than they were last season. Rolle dropped off hard, and Demps and Brown were woeful to say the least.
That is the sad part. That's why I have no issue with the youth movement through the draft. I fully expect growing pains but it may be very much worth it in the end.
is this guys challenge. His history with injuries, aside from his heart, don't make me optimistic that he'll stay healthy. If he does, I think it would really boost the D. His size is rare for the position, he'll be fun to watch.
we are significantly improved at S. even if cooper goes down again. if he could just stay healthy i think he could be a real player
he is smart to go along w/all that athleticism
Safety play was awful last year. It could not be worse. Taylor is an important piece in this year's plan, provided he stays healthy. He reminds me of Gary Barbaro.
