No Eli? The greatest Giants quarterback of all-time in terms of statistics and championships belongs! He will finish his career in the Top 10, possibly Top 5 all-time in passing yards and passing TDs as well.

its LT and then about 10 guys. its much more fun than the Yankees. which is Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio and Mantle. leaving everyone else to the 2nd or 3rd team 'Rushmore'. for the Giants i will go with just people whom ive seen play, so its LT, Simms, Eli & Strahan. if the argument is 'wheres Harry?', i dont have one. i suppose he could make it over Simms, but Phil is my favorite player of all time, so I guess im biased.

Let Eli try to play QB back when defenses could rough up receivers and QBs weren't a protected class. If Simms had half the receiving talent to throw to that Eli has had, he'd be in Canton.

I wouldn't personally but whoever you think is the best QB in franchise history has to be on the damn thing. It's arguably the most important/difficult positions in all of sports. They individually impact the game more than anyone else on the field.

He was a tough, tough dude who would always stay in the pocket to make the throw....but he sure paid the price. Those Eagles games from around 1988-92 were always just brutal to watch, seeing Simms having to drag himself up off that horrible Vet turf over and over again.
The Vet was such a fucking shit hole. It was literally a thin green carpet on top of pure concrete. And to make matters worse, they had uneven sections and lips where the patches that covered the bases were.
The '82 high/low job by Klecko and Gastinueau should have ruined him. But he still came back. Then had the freak broken thumb injury in '83 after Bill's admitted biggest fuck up ever naming Scott (Olive Oyl) Brunner to start.

But Rosey Brown was the best OL of his era, as were Hein, Tunnell, LT and imo Strahan at their respective positions.
I just can't put him there as yet...and I agree that if Simms played either for Bill Walsh with their offensive talent or in this era with our current WRs his stats would be incredible, at least as good as Eli's.

Simms was sacked 35 or more times in 10 of 14 seasons, and in the others he didn't play at all ('83), played 4 and 6 games ('91 and '92, respectively)....and 1990, when the OL was great and they didn't throw much anyway.
