He's 30-1 with 22 knockouts. I'd say he's pretty good. He's not very exciting because of his Mayweather style defense, I will say that.

As far as him running his mouth, I like it. He's a cocky SOB. Like a heel in the WWE. And, let's be honest, would the casual boxing fan be watching this fight if he wasn't a loud mouth? Doubtful. They want to see him get, as you put it, knocked the fuck out. If he does, they love it and can relish in the fact they got to watch a heel get his mouth shut. If he wins, they'll continue to hate and most likely watch his next bout hoping to see what they didn't in the last one.

I can't help but wonder if he's being thrown to the wolves tonight so he can get chewed up and swallowed and his handlers won't have to deal with him anymore. But then I remember that 144 catchweight. Big advantage in his favor.

With AB and Porter's father going at it... I actually find AB hilarious unlike Mayweather. AB kept saying "Ima whoop yo ass.. After I whoop yo sons ass!"

Had Broner uncomfortable the entire time until the very late rounds. It's a shame Broner couldn't capitalize on that knock down in the 12th.

I'm all for trash talk in any sport. Love Conor McGregor for example. Really love the trash talking in boxing, but for some reason I can't stand Broner. I think it's because he seems to love the flashy lifestyle more then he seems to like boxing. Yes Mayweather has a big mouth & loves the flashy lifestyle, but he also backs it up. According to a lot of people in the boxing world he trains harder then anybody they've ever seen & he seems to love boxing.

Broner tries to hard go be the next Floyd IMO. Sorry Adrien you aren't anywhere near as good as Floyd so stop trying to live his lifestyle. Floyd said the exact same thing actually.

needs to box like he is down from the start of the fight... he will never be a next level fighter against the top guys until he does that.
He has great accuracy and deceiving power... he needs to use it instead of just holding and wrestling out there.

for Porter although I was surprised to see him get dropped hard. Broner has surprising strength and power. The rest of him is pretending to be Floyd both in and out of the ring. Mayweather's arrogance doesn't extend to his professional career. Nice to see Broner being humbled again and although I wouldn't mind seeing a third humbling, I'm half-hoping he's banished to off-TV bouts until he does something to be on it.

The only advantage Broner had was the contracted weight of 144. Porter is a bulky welterweight who at one time fought at junior middleweight (154). Broner was counting on Porter being weight drained before the fight. Instead his plan went awry when Porter came in, in great shape. Broner while talented isn't the toughest guy in the world. He hates when fighter come at him with an aggressive style. He rather stay outside and catch you with his amazing hand speed. Porter was just a bad matchup for him.
