has the Giants cutting Damontre Moore. And he says it matter of factly, not like "watch out for this surprise cut!" Am I wrong or is that bat shit crazy?

It's bat shit crazy. I'd be surprised if Kuhn makes the 53, and if there's room for both Ayers and Selvie. On offense, at least one, and maybe both, of Fells and Robinson should be gone. The Giants have three TEs, Cunningham, LaCosse, and Tye, who show promise. It's hard to believe that none of them make the 53. Also think Reynolds is gone. Jerry and Mosley aren't givens either.
He's basically got a roster loaded with veterans. I think the exact opposite is more likely, and that we see a veteran purge this year.

Its absolutely ridiculous. Jerry Reese has control over the 53 man roster, not the coaches, and no chance he is letting go of a 23 year old pass rusher that has flashed that ability to rush the passer. He is also only entering his third year as a high draft pick that they knew needed development.
Lets couple that with the fact he has them keeping Markus Kuhn.
One of the dumber things a Giants reporter has put out there in awhile.
and the article about the competition for nickel CB suggests the coaches agree with fan evaluations. I wasn't sure where he sits on the nickel DB depth chart, but in the article he isn't mentioned even as a long shot for the spot.
Like most Giants draft picks, I hadn't seen Jayron play in college. When he was picked I did my usual thing - get excited by his potential. It's too bad he's not considered in the running for a nickel CB spot, as that probably means it is not likely he'll be on the roster.
cut his draft picks, no matter how useless there are (i.e. Robinson, Brewer).
Well, except for Phillip Dillard, Marvin Austin, Tyler Sash, Robert Henderson, those two CBs from 2009, couple of QBs, Mitch Petrus, Adrian Tracy, Greg Jones, Da'Rel Scott, Matt McCants, Andre Brown....but, yeah, outside of those guys, Jerry never cuts his draft picks, no matter how useless they are.

It's bat-shit crazy.
As I've said repeatedly, there's no reason to keep both Ayers (30) and Selvie (28). They're basically the same guy; they bring the same things to the table. Drop one, add Moore, problem solved.
Nj.com wants extra clicks, so they give space to "reporters" like Powell who have no connection to the Ledger or any of the site's other old-media affiliates. (I filled a similar role for nj.com ten years ago.) If you click on his byline, don't expect insight or breaking news; you're basically reading Bleacher Report copy, written by a Jets fan.

It's not surprising that he predicts the Giants keep Selvie, Ayers, Kuhn and Wynn over Moore. Powell doesn't appear to have noticed the Giants before 2015 - a year Moore has spent rehabbing his shoulder. Powell bio - ( New Window )
Actually, Powell seems to have started writing about NYG in November. Â

With JPP on a franchise tag and not a long term lock, there is no way JR and TC are cutting Damontre.
There is the concern about versatility.
Oh well, give me a reason to watch the second half of preseason games.
TE and the Safety battle are good reasons too.

Then again, maybe that's just a very good thing.
