Bring back the red jersey

we are wearing the white pants for two games. thats a clean look.

Didn't Skiba say a big alternate or something was coming in 2015? did it get pushed back?

Imagine week 3- Home game- Night Game vs. the Skins.

Giants run out of the tunnel wearing the Throwback 80's jerseys with GIANTS on the side of the helmets. The crowd would absolutely explode. The energy would be off the charts.

It's one of those things that just makes too much sense to do I guess.

I don't know why they don't just switch to the white pants permanently with the blue jerseys. Looks so much better.

and to take it a step further, I'd love to see Eli wearing the Simms/LT era GIANTS uniforms once before he retires.

jerseys. It really is a throwback uniform for the Giants. I'm not a superstitious person so W-L have nothing to do with it.

I wonder if the original red shirt had any blue (as in Big Blue) in the rest of that uniform? Anyone go back that far?

If the Giants wore an old throw back uniform like the Steelers "bumble bee" one, I'd forget that one even existed.

They had a little blue color in that very strange looking helmet.

I like the concept of the throw-back jersey (IMO the throw-back pants are a joke). But I would like to see one of the others rather than the pure red.

Agreed...I'd like to see some other throwbacks...even some of the ugly late 70 ones.

We're "Big Blue", but we wear red jerseys? Just say no.

For alternate jerseys either:

1) Bring back the 1986 Unis (I actually like the white on white away jersey with the blue letters a lot).
2) Bring back something really old (1930s, 1940s) that is NOT red.
3) Don't bother with alternate uniforms.

As I Giants fan, I am somewhat envious that as a "classic NFL franchise", we've changed our uniform as often as we have.

Packers - Same for decades
Colts - Same for decades
(Kills me to type it) - Cowboys - Same for decades

I hate the red jersey! They lose all the time. Bring back the old '70s or '80s unis, but NOT THE RED JERSEYS!

Does anyone else remember joe skiba saying the white pants were just the groundwork for something big in 2015? Thought an entire new alternate was coming this year..maybe it got pushed

If they're going to continue to do the "throwback" thing, I'd love to see one of those 1930s designs revived, because I think they're pretty great looking.

I think the lack of an alternate helmet means some of those options won't work, though.

and their conservative class. The Red shirts are cool for the history, but who the hell cares about the white pants. Weak half gesture at an alternate unii. I have said this for years, they need to go with blue jersey and blue pants, Smurf look. If they love the white pants so much, they should wear them with the road jerseys. There. Now you have the definitive uniform style opinion that matters.

The fact that some can't, don't or won't accept the fact the red jersey is a part of the Giants history is just ridiculous. It's called a throwback for a reason. Who gives a shit if it's ugly?

Never cared for those unis, with the V-neck and "Giants" on the helmet. Much prefer the 50s/current style. The NY logo is a beautiful thing.

In addition to the Giants wearing red uniforms, you can see Emlen Tunnell wearing his old leather helmet while everyone else is wearing plastic shells. The Giants as a team made that switch to plastic shells after the 1948 season, but Tunnell continued to wear that old leather helmet into the 1950 season.

you'll see Pittsburgh in the Single Wing formation and the Giants in a 5-2 defense and an "Umbrella-like" secondary at mid field. At the goal line the Giants switched to a 5-3-3 defense.

ugly. i hope we can bring back those from 1986. I loved those and grew up with those uniforms. Red jersey was god awful.

some of these similarly to the steelers bumblebee throwbacks are possible. And of course the 80's jerseys would be cool. If someone could get Joe Skiba back on BBI that'd be great.

no but just forgetting a large portion of the teams history isn't the best. The packers are green but they wear blue jerseys. 28 ears of red isn't something we should forget.

But, I would like to see the permanent switch to white pants for the blue jerseys.

A lot of research and work goes into those graphics before they are released. (FYI, the 1934-1936 era Giants are under review for possible revisions in the future.)
