If it isn't hit directly to him, then he doesn't catch it.
May not always show up in the stat sheet (that was ruled a double and not an error, lol) but I've seen well more than a few balls Granderson not get to that helped contribute to a loss or a blown lead. He's just a bad fielder.
Cuddyer has just been a brutal rally killer. Getting to the point where they need to consider just replacing him and giving him platoon work in LF and 1B until he shows he can do more.
got to think there's no way he turns down a huge chunk of guaranteed $ (100m-ish) knowing he's already gone through 1 tjs. I'd be shocked if they don't try to buy up a couple of his FA years after this season.
probably the right call, 1extra inning for the BP shouldn't be an issue with all the rest they've gotten. Huge AB for Granderson. Chance to step up here.

No way. He's a Boras client. He decided the waste three years in college because he was only offered $1 million instead of $2 million coming out of HS. IMO, he doesn't care about the TJ surgery. He's the type of guy that is going to want to be the highest paid player in baseball. He's gone.

Agreed, I can't see him signing a long term contract that would keep him in Flushing. I just get the feeling he's biding his time before donning the Bronx pinstripes.

That will be one of the most devastating days to Mets fandom.
But considering the talent that has been graduated recently, the Mets top 10 and 20 don't look so bad. Not a top 5 farm anymore because the system isn't as top heavy. But LOTS of talent still there. Next wave of power drafted last year, and the pitchers drafted this year literally sitting and waiting their turn.
a game as I've seen in a while. At this point I don't give a damn who wins...just get it over with so that I can see Matz pitch. 0-13 with RISP.....the level of ineptitude is amazin'.
Cuddyer/Duda need to be platooned, get a new OF'er Â
Duda continues to look more like Ike than the Duda we hoped for. Just awful.
Lets hope they get the game in.
But that's the lack of aggression that has plagued this team for years.

The solo HRs are nice though.
These batters have to be more aggressive, esp with two strikes
Get Harvey a W
I know they don't want to overload him after TJ, but he seemed to be cruising pretty well and the bottom of the order is coming up.

they had a runner on 2nd with 2 outs. It could have gone either way.

Im surprised there has been no rain delay
I'd have given him the 7th.

Grandy IS our one-man offense. The rest of the team forgot how to hit.
Nice! Someone interesting finally at Brooklyn.
Probably not but there would be plenty of PT to find vs. lefties playing first and the OF whenever Granderson next slump happens.
