I was thinking passed ball or balk. Cuddyer/Duda need to be platooned, and in addition to Murphy they need to add another bat. With the Dodgers rumored to like Niese, I wonder if they'd give up Scott Van Slyke. That type of guy would be a nice pickup.

I never understood SA with the Byrd situation. If the Mets were looking at a stop-gap then why not just resign Byrd. Cuddyer is not a better player and cost the Mets a pick.


Probably a "favor" to the guy who played about one week this season and probably won't play again (Wright)

Byrd would have made way more sense as a 1 year bridge to Conforto.
