On the double matz hit in the first gramps had some serious fist pumping going

Scored two runs in a game.
That's awesome to see

They made mention of Grandpa already being an internet sensation in the immediate postgame interview with Matz.

Great to see all of that today. What an incredible feeling for the local kid who wanted to play for the Mets. Thst's gotta be about the greatest moment of his life.
No apology necessary spike,

If you watch the video
Jerz44 : 6/29/2015 9:10 am : link
at around 1:20 you see him say "I told you he could hit."

I'm not a Mets fan but I was laughing at this vid. Awesome.
This is awesome!

Could you imagine the thrill of watching your own grandson pitch successfully in the majors, and begin what is likely to be a long and wonderful career (fingers crossed)? Grandpa must be so proud of him. What a wonderful moment for him.

I'd bet that Grandpa was there at every step of young Steven's journey thru the minors. Even the Grandma seems to be saying "I told you he could hit !!!"

On an additional note -- Steven's Mom Lori is one good looking woman.
Blake Taylor sighting

Moller’s pride in his grandson was palpable. Praising Matz’s work ethic, Moller described him as unbelievably caring, noting Matz often calls him and always offers to help with anything when he’s home.
The only woman I see in red and white is not exactly the classic

He's a little up there in age

Should someone tell him he's playing for the Mets and not the Yankees? Then again maybe we shouldn't ruin it for him.

Ouch. Rehab inning and all, but not good. 85 mph "fastball" today with an 81 off speed pitch??
