The two men were reportedly arguing over the amount of spice to put in the gumbo. Thompson grabbed a wooden board and Halley a small wooden knife, according to the report. Thompson then got his own knife and slashed Halley in the torso three times. Halley died two days later from the injuries, while Thompson was then arrested on charges of manslaughter |
I gather at NYU, we would have had a mascot "Jew."
Otherwise the whole former cheerleader thing isnt adding much to the story for me. Still an interesting way to die though.
You know, schnitzie, I like you but implying that someone deserved to be murdered because of a goddamned mascot is really repulsive.

If the Seminole Tribe of Florida that approved the use of the Chief Osceola likeness and the name Seminoles doesn't have a problem with it, why do you?
Maybe "Saul the Semite" or "Diamond Dekel".
Even "Lew the Jew" is an option. But just "Jew" doesn't cut it.
The mascot thing is repulsive all by itself, but of course, he did not deserve to die for it.
Sorry about that!
I'm kind of looking sideways at the Quakers. Is that okay because Quakers are "cute"?
Should Baruch College have a "Hasid" mascot?
Seminoles isnt a derogatory term like Redskins. And the Seminole Tribe of Florida officially sanctions the use of the Seminole as Florida State University’s nickname and of Osceola as FSU's symbol. The larger Seminole nation in Oklahoma has approved its use too.
Nothing to see here.
Are you Brian Leonard from Gouverneur

I like Stevie the Heebie.
Boom.

"Fagin" would work well for a baseball team. He could send the steal signs in.
What about putting ketchup on a hot dog stuffed in a pizza crust?
If you lived in Florida instead of just making fun of those of us that do ;-) you would know that the Seminole Tribe has been very involved in, and in lockstep with, every aspect of "Chief Osceola's" participation in FSU's events.
And the fact that the deceased (RIP) formerly held the role of FSU's Chief Osceola has no bearing at all on the situation surrounding his death and is just sensationalist journalism.
No hard feelings, I hope. Peace.
