she lost a lot of weight. She looks much better now than she did 3 or 4 years ago. But she was a smokeshow when she was young.
She turns 70 tomorrow

like Annie Lennox.

With better hair
Pretty tough to go back to your pig girlfriend after this.

Saw her at CBGBs on the Bowery in the late seventies

Still smokin hot!

I was a Pat Benetar fan. Talk about sexy!
She's 70 years old, I think she looks great.
Section331 : 6/30/2015 10:23 am : link
I saw her a decade or so ago when she was performing with the Jazz Passengers, and she was as big as a house then. I also met her 25 or so years ago when she recorded a radio show in the CBS studios. She was a mess, completely zonked out of her mind. So, yeah, that 2014 picture looks pretty damn good.

Not a bad comp.

And I have better hair than Annie Lennox. And I've been bald since 20.

I actually jammed once with what became Blondie back in '74. (Yeah, I'm that old.) I had no idea who they were at the time. They didn't become famous until later on.
There's pretty clearly

a lot of makeup/botox/facelift going on there, but, sure, she's in good shape for a septuagenarian.
met her too

in the mid 90s she was a mess back then

she looks much better now

in the 70s she was incredible
I don't think there's anything going on in that pic
schnitzie : 6/30/2015 11:08 am : link
other than a great makeup job and a flattering camera filter.

She's thinned down a bit, which is right on schedule, and she has always been all-cheekbones.

She doesn't have that stretched-out facelift look, nor the stupid duck-lips from Botox. She's simply a very handsome woman. Catherine Deneuve aged beautifully, too, (as if she ever did anything other than beautifully).
She's aged gracefully and doesn't try to dress and act

like she still 25.
Loved her back in the day!

Holy shit! I never knew this!

[quote} ‘It was the early Seventies, maybe 72. I was trying to get across town to a party. It was two or three o’clock in the morning and I was staggering around on huge platform shoes.

'This car kept circling around and some guy was offering me a ride. I kept refusing, but finally I took the ride because I couldn’t get a cab. I got in the car and the windows were all rolled up, except for a tiny crack. And this guy had an incredibly bad smell to him.

'I looked down at the door to crank open the window, and there were no door handles and no cranks. Then I started scanning the inside of the car and there was absolutely nothing.
'The inside of the car was completely stripped and the hair on the back of my neck just stood up.

'I wiggled my arm out the window and opened the door from the outside. I don’t know how I did it but I got out.
'He tried to stop me by stepping on the gas and spinning the car but it sort of helped me fling myself out. I fell out and nearly got run over by a cab.

'Afterwards I saw him on the news. Ted Bundy: responsible for at least 30 homicides. I could so easily have been one his earliest victims.’
At 70,

have escaped a random creep that night but it most likely was not Ted Bundy. From snopes.com:
Quote:
At no time during his years as a murderer did Ted Bundy show up in New York City. He made a trip to visit relatives in Philadelphia and to look up his birth record in Vermont in early 1969, but even that was five years before he began kidnapping and killing young women.

As Ann Rule, author of the Ted Bundy study The Stranger Beside Me noted, young women who now (erroneously) claim to have narrowly escaped the clutches of Ted Bundy are a not uncommon phenomenon:
A dozen or more young women have called me since 1980, absolutely convinced that they had escaped from Ted Bundy. In San Francisco. In Georgia. In Idaho. In Aspen. In Ann Arbor. In Utah ... He could not have been everywhere, but, for these women, there are terrified memories of a handsome man in a tan Volkswagen — a man who gave them a ride, and who wanted more. They are sure that it was Ted who reached for them, and declare that they never hitchhiked again. For other women, there is a man with a brilliant smile who came to their door, ingratiating, and then angry when they would not let him in. "It was him. I've seen his picture, and I recognized him."

That's interesting. I should have Snoped it. The only reason I didn't was because it was her own words.

She may well have escaped from a random creep. I believe that she believes it was Bundy.

I've heard Brian Williams tell the same story at cocktail parties.
