The Giants are the 11th best team in the league?

Seriously? Who made this Line?
Odds-makers make the line...

not based on which are the "best 11 teams" but based on the odds needed to provide balanced betting.

In other words, the line gets set by the betting public.

The NYG have more fans than teams like Cleveland, Cincy, and Tampa. So all things being equal, the line will always be set to make it appear they have a better chance of winning than those other teams.

Also - remember that having a two-time SB MVP QB means that bettors recognize that if the Giants get hot at the right time, they have the talent at the critical position to win the whole thing.

The odds makers

are probably more accurate than the talking head pundits. The Wizard of Odds is John Avello at The Wynn. Happens to be a Giants fan.

The oddsmakers definitely look at QB in today's game.

Also, I really do believe we'll be able to run the ball better this year AND our interior OL should be far better this year than last. If we run "middle of the pack" good or better then Eli's game will be much better.

Also, I think this DL will be deeper and better than most recognize. I can see JPP and Hankins making the probowl; Moore, Ayers and Bromley providing pass rush and rotation; Wynn making the team as a solid run guy with special teams ability and improved pass rush; and, OWA coming on more and more as the season goes leaving him fresh for the stretch run.

Just stay healthy, please, and we'll have a chance to improve on the 28 to 1 odds.
Never tell me the odds!

Wonder if there's an 'every 4 years' factor in some capacity

That pushes some extra $$ towards NYG

'07....'11....'15!

Lightning can't strike 3x, can it? Why not put some $ on an otherwise deep long shot, just in case.
