The Knicks have reportedly come to an agreement with Derrick Williams on a two-year, $10 million deal.
The Knicks are grasping at straws hoping that Williams can contribute meaningfully at the NBA level. Outside of dunks and the occasional 3-pointer, Williams struggles across the board at every other aspect of the game. Even if he was granted significant minutes in New York, he should not be on the radar in standard leagues.

Same here. Phil said he didn't want to change the WHOLE team. Shved and Aldrich know the system and are useful parts.
I also am pumped about Derrick Williams. It's hard not to get excited when you read that scouting report...and the guy is still 24. He could still realize his potential.
Bring on the Summer League!
Only thing missing is our first rounder (and our second rounder). Can't believe we gave it up for Andrea Bargnani. The NBA should force the Raptors to return the pick for sheer stupidity alone. God, if we lose a lottery pick for Bargnani, I will legit. throw up.
Sarcasm, right?

You can't list Porz to get mins at the 5 yet. It isn't going to happen for a while. As in years.
For the first time in ages I am looking toward the future with optimism. I never believed in Woodson or the makeup of those rosters.

And whoever else was bullish on O'Quinn deserves some credit for this. Guarantee you Phil was scouring through New York area sports forums for some ideas.
Sarcasm, right?
Yes sir
agree Withy would make sense but do we have the cap space? What is he expected to get?
Labeyrie doesn't seem to be a 5, though. From the Post recently:
"During their stop in Utah on the Knicks’ recent trip, young 7-foot-2 Frenchman shotblocking center Rudy Gobert, who is emerging as a stud, spoke glowingly and excitedly about Labeyrie in a quick interview with The Post.
Gobert shares the same agent as Labeyrie, and the two played together on the French 20-and-under national team.
“He wants to play in the NBA and I know he can, I don’t know if it can be next season, but maybe, yeah,’’ Gobert said. “I haven’t talked to him about it yet. He’s more of a power forward than center, though. He’s not a center.
“He’s athletic and can drive and can shoot. I think he’d like to be in New York. I was happy for him.’’

Why was he only getting 16 minutes per game as a 23 year old on some French team?
