My family and I will be heading to Martha's Vineyard tomorrow morning for the week. We will be staying in Edgartown near the great pond.

Does anyone have some "must-do's" while we are there? We have a 9 month old, so overall we are planning a fairly low key time.

How about great places to eat or order in from?

Thanks!

Great pond/katama is a nice area the beach is very close. The huuuge house right by the water is Letterman's. In edgartown check out detente for fancy eats with a relaxed attitude, port Hunter for live music/bar (if possible). My cousin works at Isola sometimes, she has good taste so I assume it's good but I've never been there.

Chappy is worth a day trip if you have a car, like another planet, cool Japanese gardens, john cougar mellancamp cruising around, etc, lol

In my biased opinion aquinnah and chilmark are the best parts of the island. Go to the cliffs and the (clothing optional) beach in aquinnah but don't eat there, go (early) to eat and sunset in menemsha.. Raw bar/lobster at larsens is the best food option but everything is pretty sweet. The beetlebung farm stand has great fresh produce and island grown meat if you are cooking at home ... But it ain't cheap. The "shirt of the summer" is the allen farm sheep and wool shirt... Off south road, really amazing farm run by awesome people.

Sandwiches, breakfast or lunch, at 7a in west tisbury are great. The owner is a die hard Eagles fan, feel free to talk trash to him.
