@AndySlater: Big Jason Pierre-Paul story about to break in S. Fla. He severely injured hand in fireworks accident. @Coach_Eisy first to hint at situation
PFT has tweeted about it, although they are just citing the original tweet. But it's been up long enough where the Giants could have flat out denied it already if it weren't true
very stupid and tragic for him and his family. I think he would get $15M this year, but now what since he didn't sign his tender? Vet minimum from another team? Do the Giants pick-up $15M in cape space?
This is bad for him and sad for us fans if this is true.
Not that it's nowhere on Twitter, just in none of the sources that covers the NFL or Giants. Until PFT picked it up, you had to look long and hard to find it.
Hopefully, it's just some nonsense someone picked up and ran with, although PFT rolling with it makes me think there may be some truth here.
The Giants or any team should not have a there cap penalized the following years because a player is a moron. Work out a settlement with the player, but if it is clearly negligence on the player then the team should not be held responsible. Getting real tired of these players having so much power over the teams when they mess up.

This is how news breaks though all the time, all you have to do is type in "Jason Pierre Paul" in Twitter and search all the tweets. You see the most popular ones up top then a constant stream of the new ones coming in.
Report: Jason Pierre-Paul injured in fireworks accident
Posted by Darin Gantt on July 5, 2015, 4:38 PM EDT
For many of us, last night was a chance to blow off some steam, if not some fingers.
But Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul might have gotten a little too close to the action.
According to Andy Slater of WINZ in Miami, Pierre-Paul severely injured his hand in a fireworks accident last night.
A woman who said she was his neighbor tweeted out a photo of a truck load of fireworks, showing large boxes in a van.
Details at this point are few, but this could potentially have a huge impact on him and the Giants, as he hasnt signed his franchise tender worth $14.8 million, and theyd have a tremendous lack of pass rush without him if he missed an extended amount of time.

Jason Pierre Paul has been my neighbor for over a year and I'm currently lighting fireworks with him with his truck load of fireworks
Is there a single credible report out yet that doesn't
and the Giants pull his offer, could they possibly extend Eli and use the extra cap space this year to give him a huge base salary and therefore lower his cap number for future years?
No idea how that works

He posted an instagram video yesterday next to that uhaul truck. It was cringe worthy.
Good riddance
That being said, JPP is not the sharpest tool in the shed, so this would not surprise me.
I mean he's done right?
I would say he needs at 1 finger to make a valid tackling attempt
If it's true, I pull his franchise tender and tell him to hit the road.
Lol you have no idea how to use Twitter if you think that's true. There about coming in every 20-30 seconds about it
You aren't looking hard enough.

What a shame.
If it's not signed it can be pulled at any time.

Steve Weatherford's car flips over
JPP blows his fingers off lighting fireworks
Beatty Injurid lifting weights
We're cursed when it comes to injuries

If true, what an idiot. Glad he didn't sign his tender yet.
We need to get a clearer picture
He is so dumb it actually hurts, and that was before this happened.

Not yet, but the Giants not denying it at this point is very telling. This fire could have been put out quickly, and hasn't been.
