It was a helluva game and the Japanese team played out of their minds. Give credit where it's due. That said there are no excuses we have to take it to them and get this title.
Japan scored at the 117th minute to send it to PKs
Ellis was going to start Wambach because of her height, but I'm glad that she's sticking to the lineup that handled Germany and the positioning that has been great the last two games. I read a good article earlier about how Holiday's suspension that forced Ellis to play Brian might have been the incident that saved this team because of what Brian does for holding the midfield and our offensive midfielders to attack. It was nice to see.
I have a good feeling about the game. I think our defense will make it very hard for Japan to use their counters on us because I don't think Japan has the speed to beat us over the top the way they did England.
It was pretty fun. I think it takes balls to call that foul but I guess it was one. Overall, I'm glad for England considering how their last game ended.

Too soon?
4-0.
Carli Lloyd with a hat trick within 15 minutes...she chipped the Japanes goalie from the midfield stripe when the goalie drifted off her line!
What a show.
So proud of our girls.
