Going to a wedding in Denver next weekend. Flying late Thursday, Friday free to golf and dinner with the wife.Saturday breakfast, Sunday breakfast and lunch.
Staying in Englewood.
Would like to play a round of golf.
Drink fabulous beers (including Pliny), and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner with the Mrs.
Go.
That is before, during, and after above events.
GOLF: Arrowhead (public course) not sure of availability, but for scenery and challenge (given your Englewood location,) this is a memorable course. For a simple, municipal course try Wellshire on Hamden & CO Blvd. Not challenging but easy to get 18 in if pressed for time.
BEERS: There are a lot of spots to choose from, but head down to LoDo if you can. Denver Beer Co is on Platte Street in a hip area near Coors Field. You'd probably dig this spot. However, there is a brand new place (Breckenridge Brewery - 2990 Brewery Lane - Littleton CO) I have not visited yet, but have seen it during construction. It's on Santa Fe Rd, which is more of a commuter road. Far from any cosmopolitan areas, except for Aspen Grove shops. The place is HUGE, and looks great. Close to Englewood, too. Breck Brewery is a fixture out here, so I think this place would be pretty fun to try.
DINING: again, go downtown ( LoDo) or Denver Tech Center (near Englewood) if you can. Lots of steakhouses around these parts (shanahan's, elway's, Del Frisco's Double Eagle, Sullivan's) or if you don't want to go too far, head north on University Blvd into Cherry Creek North. Go to Cherry Creek Grill, True Food Kitchen, for a great meal and more of a casual, yet upscale environment. Or hit the Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek north for any burger you want.
There's much more, so let me know if you have any specific spot requests. Have a great time. This is a great place to be in the summer, too!

Thanks for that info. I'm going to Denver at the end of the month for business. Won't be able to play golf, but the bars/restaurant info is good.
Mountain Sun -Denver - ( New Window )
Went there last time around...Great place. Thanks!
