That he went to boston, yes, but the idea that the Knicks were involved, or that it didn't happen because "phil didn't want Isiah players" is sketchy at best.

In the case of Lee, Knicks would absorb his large salary to save GS some money. GS would have also thrown in a pick or two to sweeten the deal.
Nene perhaps the same situation although he's a much more valuable player to DC than Lee is to GS.
Both would be good additions at this point as the Knicks could use a scoring PF, but seems very unlikely.
Nah, can't use the exception in combo with another player if I'm not mistaken.
