when I looked at them prior to the draft. What I thought I saw was a tremendous athlete, who was quick, knew where he was going, and got there with a lot of explosion. I am therefore one of those who think that Reese’s getting him in the third round was a “steal.” In other words, his ability is that of a second rounder & probably it was only his surgeries that held back other clubs from drafting him that high. When they called out his name as the Giants 3rd round choice, I jumped up and screamed.
The truth is also that I fell in love with his name, Owamagbe Odighizuwa. Names are part of athletic lore, and his is a beaut. I may be wrong about how good he can be, & as someone pointed out, he has yet to play even a single NFL down, but that was true also of OB last year, & look what he did.
Anyway, do not take my present away just yet. I like what I found under the Giants’ Christmas tree.
Owamagbe can do it no problem. Solid thread.
Let's see him play a full year and really see what he can do before we call him a steal.
He is intriguing though and I, for one, can't wait to see him get some pre-season game action.
