On YouTube. Never gets old. Haven't seen it for at least 10 years and can't believe all the things I forgot about that game:
* E-Mack ripping the ball out of Carter's hands
* Moss pulling up to avoid getting blown up by Stoudmire, causing an easy INT by Garnes
* Learning that Glen Parket broke two ribs the week before
* Lomas Brown re-injuring his back
* Armstead, Strahan, Hammer and Griffen playing lights out
* Ron Dixon making the first down signal in the wrong direction after a catch - then spinning around in the right direction and looking genuinely confused going back to the huddle
Just to name a few. The poster fast forwarded past the ads, but not the Samuel Jackson "show me" NFL promos and halftime report.
Good times.
2000 NFC Championship game - (
New Window )
Anyway, it's just amazing how Minn. quit so early. And on that final drive with the third string in, pretty much any one f us could have taken a handoff and gained a couple yards.
Strange that compared to the '07 and '11 teams, the '00 team
1) had better regular season record by 2-3 games and 2) had much easier time in the NFC playoffs.
That and a couple of other times
Ron Dixon's opening kickoff return TD the week earlier vs the Eagles

a period of weeks/months following this game, where some Viking fans were claiming the NFL was investigating the Giants for having tapped into their radio communications and knowing the plays in advance?
I remember hearing this on the internet a couple of days after the game. No mainstream reporters mentioned it at first. After a couple of days a few referred to it and were dismissive. One writer said he contacted the Vikings for a comment and their rep just started laughing.
This was one of the incidents listed on that site a Pats fans started about other teams cheating. I think that was the first I'd heard of it in 15 years.
Remember seeing Carter and Moss sitting on bench with towels over their heads and Giants fans serenading them.
Nothing will ever top it.

Those were great, too. But this game the crowd was like this literally the entire game. Even when it was over early, the crowd was still very loud, which was awesome.

EASILY
The Giants had two lousy years before 2000. If I remember correctly, Season Ticket owners at that time had to buy not only their season tickets, but playoff tickets as well. They had the choice before the season started (or sometime during the season) to decline first rights to playoff tickets and apply that money to next year's tickets.
A LOT of playoff tickets were declined. The Giants put them up (at least the NFC champion ones) on Ticketmaster after the playoff win against the Eagles. There were massive lines in NYC (blocks long...this was pre-internet sales, you had to queue up!)...but not upstate!
So I was able to get two tickets, as I got a short line at a ticketmaster by me. Seats in the lower bowl, right in the corner that the first quarter TD's were!
The Giants were also giving out towels for that game. Add all the new fans (who were going crazy after the planes buzzed over), mix in all the frustration from the last playoff we blew against the Vikings, and you had an explosive mixture. We stood all through the game, except for halftime, and screamed our heads off. I couldn't speak the next day!
Great game!

I've never felt sicker watching a game than watching this one

Sec 138 here. Hilliard's TD was right my father and I. Loudest crowd ever, IMO, b/c we were scared of Minny. It was supposed to take a monumental effort to win that game. Nobody took a seat (at least for very long).
