Meanwhile, Hamels is throwing a no hitter
illmatic : 7/25/2015 6:34 pm : link
Driving up his trade value even more much to the delight of the Phillies and their fans.

Go Yanks.
Seems
nygnyy274 : 7/25/2015 6:36 pm : link
Somebody has a no hitter going everyday day lol
Hamels finished the no-hitter
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 6:45 pm : link
now that clown Amaro is going to ask for Severino, Bird and Refsnyder in addition to Judge after Hamels threw 130 pitches for the no-no
If anything
illmatic : 7/25/2015 6:56 pm : link
that article made it seem like the Yankees have no chance at Hamels. Assuming it's true that they don't want to trade Judge or Severino and that should be true. I would consider moving Bird in a package for the right player though. But I think we value him more than other teams would in a trade.
"Judge who some have likened to Giancarlo Stanton"
Stu11 : 7/25/2015 7:01 pm : link
lol who would those some be? the BBI usuals?

CBS, for one...
Judge
BigBlueShock : 7/25/2015 7:17 pm : link
Per CBS:

Yankees prospect Aaron Judge's power reminiscent of Stanton

Yankees 2013 first-round draft pick Aaron Judge is making his debut at Double-A this season, but he's already been compared to Giancarlo Stanton. CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman had scouts tell him that the exit velocity of a recent home run from Judge reminded them of Stanton.
Judge is currently raking in Trenton, hitting .333 with six home runs and 20 RBI in his first 32 games. He certainly looks like the right fielder of the future for the Yankees. Baseball America ranked him the No. 53 prospect in all of baseball coming into this season.

But yeah, it's all BBI's fault
Eh, my bad
BigBlueShock : 7/25/2015 7:19 pm : link
Sent that before I clicked on the link. Didn't realize it was CBS/Heyman they were referring to
CC getting jumped again
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 7:22 pm : link
Dozier single and then a HR by Hicks who I have never heard of, so we're down 2-0 again to this overachieving Twins team in the 1st again
CC
B in ALB : 7/25/2015 7:23 pm : link
What the fuck?
Every ball...
LarmerTJR : 7/25/2015 7:26 pm : link
Hit hard...
Yanks need another starter.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/25/2015 7:27 pm : link
Should be interesting to see who they get.
Get Drew off this fuckin team
B in ALB : 7/25/2015 7:43 pm : link
immediately.

He can't even catch a routine throw.
Struggling again against the sucko Twins
Greg from LI : 7/25/2015 7:57 pm : link
Starting to piss me off
CC gonna CC.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/25/2015 8:04 pm : link
.
Can't keep the corpse of Torii Hunter in the park huh?
Greg from LI : 7/25/2015 8:05 pm : link
This series has been seriously embarrassing.
The Twins aren't bad this year
illmatic : 7/25/2015 8:08 pm : link
but they shouldn't be getting smacked around by them like this. And they should also be able to score a damn run. This is sad.

And they absolutely need another starter if they want to make a real run this year.
To be fair,
Dave in Hoboken : 7/25/2015 8:10 pm : link
while it is the corpse of Torii Hunter, it's also the corpse of CC. So, I guess the corpse of Hunter > Corpse of CC.
ARod with a moonshot.
bceagle05 : 7/25/2015 8:11 pm : link
Goddamn.
holy crap how far was that?
micky : 7/25/2015 8:13 pm : link
.
Tori Hunter 16 HR's in 2015 so far
arniefez : 7/25/2015 8:14 pm : link
Sucko Twins 2nd best home record in MLB. Yankees under .500 on the road. Ryan and Drew in the lineup. CC pitching. Very surprising result so far.
ARod the best power hitter in NY.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/25/2015 8:18 pm : link
Well, aside from Teix maybe. Crazy.
Ahh, fuck it.
Mark C : 7/25/2015 8:45 pm : link
As long as this team continues to play like they have at home, the division is in the bag. Lotsa home games down the stretch

Yep. Plus, Yanks are the only team in the division that doesn't have a west coast road trip in the second half of the season. Another huge plus.
Here comes
nygnyy274 : 7/25/2015 8:54 pm : link
The 3-7 road trip
Second HR of the game for ARod
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:08 pm : link
All of a sudden it's 5-3
ARod
illmatic : 7/25/2015 9:09 pm : link
single handedly keeping the team in the game.
If it wasn't for Arod
Mike Graves : 7/25/2015 9:13 pm : link
God only knows where this team would be in the standings rite now,
Tex doubles, Beltran flies out to deep center
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:16 pm : link
Tex beats throw to third. Headley lines out to center (he was lucky to catch it), Tex scores on the line out

Yanks within 1
This team has heart.
Dave in Hoboken : 7/25/2015 9:19 pm : link
And LOL at all of the fools and fans around baseball who said ARod was done. LMAO.
Warren does his job
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:22 pm : link
gets out of CC's bases loaded jam in the 6th and gets Torii to ground into the double play in the 7th. He held the fort and now the opportunity is there for the Yanks to complete the comeback
Ellsbury singles with 2 outs
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:29 pm : link
McCann will pinch-hit for Young. Ellsbury has to be running here
Ellsbury gets to 2nd on a mishandled throw to 1st
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:34 pm : link
but McCann strikes out

Check their peripherals Randal. The Twins are a thoroughly mediocre team who have played way over their heads thus far.
AROD AGAIN
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:44 pm : link
3 HRs!
.
spike : 7/25/2015 9:45 pm : link
AROD for MVP
ARod
illmatic : 7/25/2015 9:46 pm : link
Holy shit. Win this game.
Tex singles, then Beltran grounded into a double play
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:47 pm : link
but it looked like the 1st base ump got it wrong because Beltran beat it barely
Beltran called safe on review
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:50 pm : link
Headley with an excellent piece of hitting on 1-2. Singles to right center and Beltran goes to third. Now it's up to John Ryan Murphy
JOHN RYAN MURPHY

the fans thank you for the souvenirs.
Fantastic game.
bceagle05 : 7/25/2015 9:58 pm : link
Hope Cash pulls the trigger on another starter to give the pitching staff a jolt. Otherwise I'm loving what's going on.
Miller time in the 9th
dpinzow : 7/25/2015 9:59 pm : link
3 outs from a very unlikely win that will raise the self-belief in the clubhouse
