I'm not really worried about the postseason anyway with starters pitching from the backend. So we'll have Clippard, Parnell, and Mejia all as set up options over the next two months. I'll take it.

To me, if the price is less than Montero I'm happy. I would not give up Montero for Clippard personally, and obviously if it's anything more that I'd consider it an overpay.

Can confirm @kenrosenthal was a told #Mets working "real hard" to close deal for Clippard. Minor league P again is main bait.
The fact that he's been good against lefties is a nice bonus considering Blevins is still an unknown.
