NFT: Anyone still watching Hannibal?

BigBlueDownTheShore : 7/26/2015 8:57 pm
I just got caught up and the episode where he turns himself in as absolutely one of the craziest cable TV episodes I have ever seen. It was really good, but even got me feeling creeped out which is hard to do.
Yup.

Breaking bad?
best show that no one is watching

which of course was among the reasons it wasn't picked up past season 3....yet.

A show that assumes its audience are paying attention and can think beyond a 3rd-grade level is rare. Makes for damned fine television.
If Amazon wants to stay competitive with Netflix

It should pick this up. They are the only streaming service that can, since they have an exclusive in the rights to the episodes. It would instantly be the best streaming show that they had and produced.

Completely different. Very dark. Very deep. Shot absolutely beautiful. Phenomenal cast. Its a little bit of a slow burn but man is it good.
It also just got banished to Saturday nights...

And is being discontinued. Some other outfits such as Amazon and Netflix wanted to buy it but they wanted a quick turn around on the filming and script which the director wasn't willing to do. So enjoy the final episodes while they last.
I think its far to violent and dark

for regular television. Ive literally been astonished it was on NBC from the beginning. Either way we are up to Red Dragon now for those that know the novels/movies. Apparently Season 4 was supposed to introduce Jodi Foster's character and lead us in to Silence of the Lambs but there were licensing and copyright issues.

Since its on NBC Amazon has exclusive rights to the episodes, thus why you can only purchase episodes and not watch them on Netflix or Hulu. The only play would be for Amazon to continue its production or it dies. Of all streaming options I feel like Amazon is the weakest, so it would be a no brainier for me, but that's my opinion.
It is an excellent show

and very different from most dramas on television, which is meant as a complement. It's nice to see something that isn't just the cops trying to catch the bad guy.

I'll miss the show when it ends, and hope someone else picks it up. However, the graphic content is probably a significant driver of the poor ratings. It is done to advance the story, but some of it is really shocking for network television.
I spend half of my time when watching this show

mumbling, "I can't believe they cancelled this." I really wanted to see Fuller's version of Silence of the Lambs.

Great show. At least Sundance is smart enough to not cancel Rectify.
