What's everyone playing right now?
I'm just about finished with Arkham Knight on my PS4. Very good game. Not a masterpiece by any stretch as it certainly has it's problem but it's an an enjoyable experience.
I'm planning on moving on to the Evil Within next. Anyone play it?
Until Dawn comes out next month along with Madden and Metal Gear right around the corner.
In between playing FIFA 15, I just completed Mafia II and just started Hitman:Absolution
For now, I'm continuing to slowly play through Trails in the Sky on PS Vita - if you have a Vita or a PSP (or a PC!) and like JRPGs, it's a must-play. Also logging a lot of time in NBA2K15. When the fiancee is home I'm playing The Last Of Us: Remastered in short spurts - she really likes it but any 3-D game with analog camera control gives her a headache after about 30 minutes or so, so progress has been slow.
Oh, and Rocket League. Rocket League is incredible.
The art is top notch (the map especially), and I'm finding the fights more difficult than I had anticipated. I suspect that it'll get easier as I gain a more intuitive understanding of the AI priorities, but for now it's fun and challenging enough.
I haven't hit anything too earthshaking yet in the storyline, but I can just tell that the game is waiting to spring one of those heartbreaking "you made a bad decision 2 chapters ago, and now X is dead because of it" moments. Can't wait.
After watching Bungie give me a beautiful world with nothing to do in it and paygates all over the place with Destiny, its nice to have a beautiful world with too much to do and the developer adding to the experience ongoing to improve it further. A quick mission ends up taking forever because you always end up finding something new along your way that sidetracks you.
I have way too much time invested into it and stopped playing Arkham Knight so I could get back to it. I'll get back and finish AK sometime soon, but Witcher 3 has really surpassed expectations for me.
This weekend I played through Her Story with a friend. That game... well game is used loosely. It's more of an experience I guess. Interactive storytelling. Anyway, it's awesome. If you don't mind giving alternative games a chance, definitely check it out.
Actually I took a step back to PS3 and playing Red Dead Redemption... real fun game!

How good is the last of us?

The Banner Saga is a lot of fun. I wish there was more in the way of map variation - there's basically no terrain to speak of - but I enjoyed it.
Combat tip - because combat remains "you go, they go, you go" until the very end and strength/defense diminish as characters take damage, the combat incentives are flipped from most other SRPGs. In most SRPGs, you want to concentrate your attacks on single enemies to take them out, giving you a numerical advantage and ultimately washing over your opponent like a wave. But in The Banner Saga, what you really want to do is to prioritize getting your opponent's attack power down to a non-threatening level while leaving them alive - your opponent will still alternate turns with you, but more of those turns will be wasted. Killing a weak opponent early in the battle actually hurts you because it means that the more powerful enemies actually go more frequently (because they don't have to share slots with their weaker teammates once those weaker teammates are dead).

I don't play MOBAs but a DOTA2 match with a good caster is legitimately entertaining.
DOTA 2 The International - ( New Window )

I'm watching.
(My next-door neighbor had an NES, and I did not. Yeah, he shared appropriately, but he was generally more skilled with it than I was, and we were both interested in seeing how far we could get in single-player games. So he held the controller, and I was the designated puzzle-solver.)
Elder Scrolls Online
Having played Final Fantasy XI and XIV for so many years has definitely skewed my expectations when it comes to MMO's.

I think it's ok. But MMOs... I don't know. There's no endgame. There's no end in sight with them. And that's the point I guess, but I want to finish something because it's really hard to play one game engine over and over again and not be really tired of it. So I play this one, to hang with a friend or two who dig it, but I imagine it'll be like all the rest. One day I'll stop playing and not think about it ever again.. Or miss it.

Prior to my first exposure to professional DOTA (which was TI4, last year) I would have said the same thing. But something about watching DOTA scratches a different itch. It's the combination of high-level strategy (in drafting, warding, choosing objectives, item builds) and more detailed second-by-second tactics (changing your positioning based on a half-dozen different factors, targeting the correct opponent in a team fight, rotating over to relieve a teammate under duress) that I've only ever seen in a MOBA.
If you ever do decide to watch, it's really helpful to watch a game commentated by casters who are mindful that a lot of people in the audience are new to DOTA or even new to MOBAs in general. TI4 had a noob stream for the main event that was really instructive while still being entertaining and I think TI5 will have the same thing.

as well as taking part in all the beta testing, when it finally came out I just couldn't find any enjoyment.

I'm enjoying ESO more than I thought I would. My buddies and I always said "it would be great to play Skyrim co-op with your friends". We do it that way, and it's been fun so far.
