@AdamSchefter: Former No. 1 overall pick Jake Long is set to work out for the Atlanta Falcons this afternoon, per @mortreport.

@vxmcclure23: We will see if Jake Long checks out physically with the Falcons today. Jake Matthews (Lisfranc) coming off injury.

@art_stapleton: Yes, Jake Long visited the Giants in the spring. They're monitoring.

1 would he play LT or RT?
2 IIf he played solid what would we do when Beatty came back? sit Jake or sit Flowers?
3 If we sat Flowers would that not hurt his development?

if Jake checks out healthy in Atlanta (doubtful), his agent will shop his services to every team that has showed interest. The fact that Atlanta has them in does not mean Jerry is "asleep at the wheel".

So is Mathis. He may not be physically ready or he may be waiting for a better deal than the vet minimum. Could be the former or the latter. big
Difference but some guys don't want to settle for a minimum when they may get a call by desperate team later. Assuming he's done is done but it may not be the case
