They are squarely on the radar of most serious Giants fans. Cooper is only under the radar because he's been oft injured. Most third year guys are a known quantity. It's not necessarily a good thing most regular Giants fans don't know who he is.
I do not believe Eli will be a Giant by final cutdown. I think the money allocated to him will go to Eli and any other STRONG camp players the Giants may approach for extension like Ayers, Ellis, Robinson, etc.
If we were to sign Eli, Prince, Ellis to longer-term deals with that money I'd be ecstatic!
Fear he'll go the way of Matellus Bennett. I wish we had an option for year 2.
Taylor has to stay healthy to have a breakout year. I hope that Spags can work his manic and get a good performance from all the defense!!
In fact, with JPP out of the line, teams will concentrate on Hankins, and the only pass rush will come from blitz schemes....
The only thing that can turn this around, is if we get major contributions from Bromley, Moore, OO, and Elis.....if Jenkins can somehow contribute one more year, and Selvie and Ayers can make a few plays, it might not be so bad.....at this moment in time, the Giant DL is the worst in the division...

Easier to re-sign a run-stuffing DT than a two way threat TE these days. He's not like Dan Williams or Terrance Knighton who have this experience for several seasons and have done well in doing so. I'm not overly worried for him.

I wouldn't count Wynn out. In the limited time we saw him, he played pretty darn well. Problem was it was a small sample size.

Even without Pierre-Paul, the Giants' DL is better on paper than the Cowboys'. Maybe Gregory and Lawrence will become stars, but you could say the same thing about Moore and Odighizuwa. Mincey (JaG) led them in sacks last year with six, and he's holding out. I wouldn't trade Hankins to Dallas for any two of their defensive linemen.
I know, I know - the Giants signed Selvie, whom the Cowboys allowed to walk. Big deal. He's just one piece of the DE rotation, and might not even be a very important one. Look at the total picture.
Comparisons are tricky because their base is a 3-4 and their best pass-rusher by far (Kerrigan) plays OLB. He's coming off knee surgery, the three down linemen are nothing special and Preston Smith is just another young question mark.
...Ellis is more of a presumptive starter than a sleeper. He certainly figures to be an important rotational player. I think Cunningham can bump Fells off the roster, but they still need a TE who can block. Here's hoping Robinson can handle that role (and more). Taylor and Wynn are in the thick of camp competition at their positions, and have already gotten some breaks in the form of injuries to other players.
This is his 3rd year already.

Can't wait to learn what you actually meant to say.

gotta be JPP, right?
