As Upton crushes one on Colon lol. He and Cespedes are absolutely the 2 best hitters who would most transform the lineup. I'd take the 2nd year of Gomez over paying for a rental though.

Cuddyer, Gomez, Uribe - believe we've all had dozens of arguments specifically zeroed in on guys he ultimately ended up pursuing. Even Chris Young last year.

Colon's last start as a Met. Bring up Gee until Matz is back. Colon is one of the worst starters in MLB in 2015.

I don't think he tried the last time he pitched. For a pro that is taboo. He is getting paid to give his all whether he likes the circumstances or not.

He has talent and at worst would add some speed to the bench. Ride the hot hand with him and Tejada at SS until Cecchini is ready.

I don't like Gomez in the three hole. He's supposed to have speed and baserunning ability even though he has had NONE this year. I don't know whats up with him but Id hope its still in him and he just had some injury issues. .266 and 8 homeruns doesn't seem like a big threat at 3 but either way he greatly improves our lineup going from Lagares/Kirk to Gomez somewhere.

Could account for his running game.
