Bartolo Colon how has a 4.96 ERA. It's the 4th worst in the National League. He now has a 6.01 ERA in 14 starts since May 10. Not optimal.
Will Wheeler oitch in MLB in 2016? yes. Is he likely to recapture his top form in 2016? No. harvey had an extra long TJ rehab and has had an uneven season and he is the superior pitcher. 2017 is a reasonable time frame to expect a full return to form by Wheeler.
And once again did I say he would be in top form in 2016. I said he could be a hue piece down the stretch next year. I never said TOP FORM. Are you ever going to give this shit up? Are you fucking serious? Your just going to question and make snide remarks with every post? My god, won't this end? Ill gladly return the favor and we can monopolize every Met board from now until the end of the season. Im sure all our fellow Mets posters will love it. I was at Carlos Gomez' first MLB game at Shea. He hit a double down the RF line in his first AB. All the buzz was "this kid is even faster than Reyes!" that day.

Yes, it does make sense. But you could also keep him in play as a back up this season until it's over.
