I listen on my way to work. I like the show for the most part but it also drives me nuts when everyone on the show joke and talk over each other at the same time. Especially Imus. He's the worst part of his own show with the stuttering and insults. Warner Wolf does the sports updates and it's impossible to get through it most of the time without Imus butting in and interupting him while he's trying to do his job. So basically, I can take or or leave it.
with Imus. Listened to his first appearance on his first show on NY radio. He called in sick the next day.
Don't think that got past us, Shep...:)
Was an Imus fan from way back, it has got a bit stale.
Same.
Imus has a guy come in and do bad impressions of people too like the Godfather etc. It's so hacky and stale and frankly embarrassing.
I like the Bernie briefings too....on the rare occasion that he can get all the way through it before getting shouted down by Imus. Also, the phony asskissing is tough to listen to as well...."You said it I-Man!" "Ha ha, that's hilarious I-Man!" etc etc after he mumbles and stutters something that apparently was amusing.

He's right. The creator that Kars 4 Kids commercial absolutely should be shot. Worst commercial of all time.
I listened last week for a little in the car, not good. It's ironic though that he now sounds like one of his old characters: Crazy Bob.
Both are well past their time yet Warner has been incoherent for at least 15 years. Besides a quick sports update the guy can't formulate a sentence without struggle. It's almost Terry Bradshaw like
If you heard the first 30 minutes of the show you pretty much heard the entire 4 hours (it really was a lather-rinse-repeat format) and his wife along with that trailer park queen made my ears bleed.
The least year and a half I've been listening to Joe Piscopo over on 970. At least he'll bring an honest laugh every now and then.
Nothing like those timely Richard Nixon impersonations though. Those are the bee's knees!
This. It's been many years since I listened.
If you can get NY stations 770 ABC from 6AM to 10AM.
I listen driving to work in the morning. It's fading and he's fading. He still does some interviews that are quite good, but not nearly as many as in the past. I miss the Joe Lieberman and John McCain interviews. More and it's set schticks like "Blonde on Blonde" that involve his wife. They usually end up with her in a screaming match with somebody and I have to switch the channel to Bloomberg. Her sense of entitlement and condescension because she is Mrs. Don Imus is very off putting.
I first listened to him when he arrived in NY circa 1970 when I had summer jobs.
